Steven hit on something I think is important. The theme of duality in the show. Most words or phrases we find significant have at least 2 meanings. Like Severance. it means to separate and to serve. Or Breakroom. And to answer that kid's question yes people do self-imprison all the time.

Steven will probably notice stuff while editing. Like the way the theme music changes as they descend the stairs in the first episode it gets really reverby/delay/echoey as he walks down like he's entering a cave or something. same notes but increasing effects as he descends. little stuff that adds up. or the actual notes the elevator plays as they exit. are they always the same note? for each person or different? or the clocks not having numbers. only numbers are on the screen.
