This was Miles Caton's (Sammie) first role and he absolutely killed it. He was amazing. Miles stated in interviews that he learned to play the resonator blues guitar for this role. He spent two months learning the guitar before filming. And i think i saw somewhere, but not totally sure, that when Miles started singing in the car, Michael B. Jordan's reaction was authentic.

That crazy 4th dimensional scene was just unreal. Amazing directorial and camera work.

The sheer disbelief and amazement on your faces in that last half hour is the exact energy I've been looking for in reactors. The entire climax of this film is just so visually, sonically, and thematically overwhelming (in the best way possible). I knew right away that you guys were absolutely gonna adore this film by the end after seeing how much you were already enjoying just the beginning.

Great reaction. The whole Irish element was cool I actually didn’t pick up on it the first time.

Michael A Jordan and Michael B Jordan lol. I don't know why I waited a year later to finally watch this movie. I wanted to see this when it came out in theaters, but couldn't due to personal and financial reasons. This a really good movie. Great Blues and Celtic music. In that time period, churches believed that if you weren't singing music in church, playing music outside of the church, you were doing the devils work, committing sin, etc. Also the legend of Robert Johnson. He was an actual person who couldn't play guitar or the worse guitar player. He disappeared and six months later he showed up and was playing the guitar like a pro. The legend is he sold his soul to the Devil to be a great guitar player. Music is the theme of the movie and that time period, People having a God given talent to play music, but if they weren't using that talent for church, they were playing for the Devil.
