"the after hours" is in reference to an old Twilight Zone episode about a woman who found out she was actually a mannequin who came to life for just a few hours a night. all those code words Cobel used to get into the birthing center were from that episode.

In episode 2 of season 1 we learn 3 raw eggs were Mr. Eagan's favorite breakfast. Burt was saving Irv's life. Helena mentioned at breakfast that they were seeing to Mr. Bailiff. I believe we will see Irving again. There are still too many unanswered questions..

We still don’t know lumons end game with severance but yes that is essentially their pitch. Oh you have bad trauma? Get severed for half of your day and go to work and forget it all. You don’t like the dentist? Be severed at the dentist. You want to have kids without remembering the birth? Get severed. And on and on and on. And then before you know it millions and millions of people have the chip in their head and then they’re all “kiers children” but what does that mean? What do they then do? I love all the theories and discussions with this show!! I’m so excited to watch season 3 week to week with you guys and be able to discuss and come up with theories weekly. Cannot wait for the finale!! I can’t imagine the urge to not just jump into it immediately lol.

And yes Nikki was right. Gemma each room Gemma went into she is a brand new innie with different memories and no recollection of any of the other rooms or anything outside that specific room.

And you are right Steven, you have to think there is no way lumon can ever let Gemma back into the world under any circumstance. She was essentially kept as a prisoner and tortured for 2 years. All we know about Gemma is she doesn’t want to be there. We don’t know if at some point they tricked her and she went there thinking it was something else. Or if she really did have the car accident and straight kidnapped her and put the plan into motion. We do know they faked her death 100% bc mark saw and identified a body but it was burnt. And we do know they were in fact watching Gemma and mark before any of it. They had their blood work, info and we saw dr Mauer in the background when mark and Gemma were there filling out the paper work after the miscarriage.

Sissy is Harmony Cobel’s aunt. It does seem like Gemma is the only test subject, because Lumon has bent over backwards to make sure Mark will still work there, while they in episode 1&2 had no problem just firing Irv and Dylan. But who knows, the work is mysterious and important. 😃
