I love your reactions and take on things with this series so far but I do find interesting how understanding you seem to be of the forcibly brain washed humans just because they get upset or cry and appear sensitive . They are not people anymore, they have no will. I think Nikki's example of being too open and friendly with animals she knows she shouldn't be and that will get her hurt or worse explains that. You saying she crossed the line was also interesting because she is doing what ever takes to save everyone, they crossed the line first...again I love that what this show makes us all think and talk about so I hope I don't come off like I'm attacking. I cant lie are hurt any living being don't you know. : )

The point I was making about the “understanding” of this situation is, if the goal is to flip this then causing as little damage as possible should be the focus. If these people do get their lives back, it’s not very productive killing tens of millions of them because of your mood. From what we’ve seen to this point, she is in zero danger so keep going about your problem solving business. The saying “keep your enemies” close is a great example.

That is a great point and I love you are both clearly as invested in this as I am. There are many ways to take the way this is going and I guess that's why you have to keep telling people to calm down (that sad you have to). As for playing it so the lest amount of people are not lost I think Carol would of never got to whatever it was at the end of this episode unless she had acted this way. If the others were still there they would of stopped her as it would made her unhappy to see it...or distracted her with the pirate lady lol.

whoa missed this one when it popped saw the edited version and jumped on over. such a good episode. really hit me in the feels with the slab laying. i'm a widower and that hit hard. I really feel for Carol, that upbringing in that home and the conversion camp. She has deep trauma over that I bet and a bit of a psychosis. Told you were broken, needed to be fixed, unclean, sinner can you imagine the shame? I can totally see that kind of shit making her think she doesn't deserve to be happy so she doesn't allow herself to be happy. As for what's in the bag well it was a white powder with a blue tint in Albuquerque :) We can call it Crystal Blue Persuasion. Here's my prediction. That nuclear football and the comment "we can't protect you from each other" is a Chekov's gun waiting to go off. Now the guy who has the football is also loving this new life. if he think Carol is about to end that would he nuke Alberquerque? Nobody is there now but Carol. and while they might be making a protein sludge out of the dead people , they might be up to other things too. if they have that kind of command over dna then they might create a totally alien biomass and invade through forced mutation or evolution or whatever you want to call it. as for the individuals inside the joined I think they can reverse and recover the individual. when they speak of the individual in the past tense it's because they don't believe they will be reversed.

we don't know for sure the people still aren't in there. they said it could be reversed so that means the individuals are still there. just not in control.

I am considering that Carol would be doing the same thing as this hive infection did, which was to change people against their will, if she finds a way to reverse the process/iinfection that caused the almost robotic like beings. The fact they feel hurt both physically and mentally does make them human like, but they don't seem to know how to control their emotions very well. It will be interesting to see what was being stored in that freezer. Doctors say the human body doesn't provide a lot of nutrients, and living on humans long term would cause starvation. As far as the person the question as to whether Carol would be as upset if Helen had lived also brings the question what if Helen became one of the others and she didn't? There would still be grieving on top of the stress of a major change in humanity. This fueled with the amount of alcohol Carol consumes can make a pretty unpredictable and toxic existence. We know Carol was pretty miserable before all this started, so i am curious if this will change her for the better. .

she absolutely is in danger and the other 12 are too , the hive people clearly said they want the immune to join them and are actively searching for a way to do that , Carol is on borrowed time she has no choice to use everything she can think of to reverse the situation before it is too late is drugging one of the others and possibly getting information out of them a bad thing ? in this situation no i don't think so , i would have not chosen Zosia for it because we really got to care for her but if it was any random other person would we really care that much ? , and again imo it was justified in this situation i think you are way too protective over what is an alien race/virus which has taken over the entire world , i feel like you are severely underestimate how fucked the situation is for the few remaining people is atm and how using every means available is justified in this situation and you want her to be nice to them ? Apple tv ordered 2 seasons of the show so it certainly will be back

I think my points are being widely misunderstood. Not at all being protective of the hive, I am just trying to see things from all angles. It doesn't matter what you, me or anyone else thinks if the hive mind thinks something, that's the way it goes. Carol crealy crossed a line resulting on them all leaving her alone. I've said so many times I fully understand what Carol is doing and that I'd likely do the same... that said, I can also say what Carol did is crossing the line because look at where she is now. No one is saying she isn't in danger and shouldn't be doing everything she could to flip this but also we have no clue. When I say play along, it's the same thing as the saying, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. It's easy to say as a viewer but her actions have not been very calculated, though getting the city to herself could end up being good since she's been able to research. Revealing your entire plan to the hive seems really dumb. And I think many are assuming being part of this is bad, we have no idea yet what any of this is yet because they haven't shown us.

I think that Carol crossed a line / did anything wrong is what i really disagree with , she was justified in pretty much everything she did imo including her behaviour towards the hive , certainly in the beginning , and it's interesting that because of that she ' forced ' the hive into changing their behaviour towards Carol , including leaving the entire city , she's fighting back , ps i love you guys and tone is hard to read in text so my comments are not written in anger annoyance or anything : )

Very good point Jim, and that's why this is very interesting, I want them to still be in there otherwise this will be a very dark story. If they bring everyone back will they have the stored shared memories from the joining or reset to before they were joined? The cause of this can be reversed but the damage to them wont be I think. They have forcibly enslaved everyone and so until they are free they cannot help themselves or anyone else. This is Carol against the world and the show has already shown that being friendly isn't her strength, there could be an story arc for that I guess.

I guess treating the 'crossing the line' as a big mistake on Carols part is where I see the misunderstanding. I agree she is now alone but she already was, these are not real people in this current state. Now they will still do whatever she asks but while backed off while she can actually try to figure things out. As always love you both and look forward to watching more.

I know Carol is making the videos to share what she is learning with the other survivors but isn't she just revealing her secrets to the hive in the process? How is she going to get to the bottom of it if they know what she's up to? (BTW episode 2 shows a dead body being loaded into a dairy truck, and the optimal Ph balance of a human body is between 7.3 and 7.4, pretty close to the 7.1 of the powder)

To be fair they didn’t ask for anybody’s consent when they took over everybody lol. The 2 wrongs doesn’t make a right doesn’t apply in this world. You have to do whatever you can to figure out how to reverse this. Zosia isn’t a person anymore, that individual is gone. I’m 100% on carols side

I understand yall might be being too hard on carol how do you think they took over the world they put their DNA in everyone without their consent and they are actually trying to change her even though she told them she don't want to change so she fought back a little bit remember they kissed people and licked people food
