love the reaction as always, when it comes to when they had sex its unconsented consensual sex...Carol was looking at her dead partners grave in the next scene was important because of that I think. I could be very wrong but she also felt she was doing the same back, she was tempted but didn't actually want to sleep with pirate lady but felt she had to comply and keep them happy...its the biggest toxic relationship ever.

I am not sure Carol isn't trying to play the others (how they are referred to) as well as their playing her. If she knew about Manousos before she and Zosia started spending time together, I think she wouldn't be as open with Zosia. I am not sure Carol was having sex with everyone. Like Zosia said about her massage, they aren't all experiencing it but had a general knowledge she was getting one. Carol using two white boards, the one in front has outlines for a new Wacaro novel, and the board behind it has her notes about the others on it such as they eat people. She had to remind herself of that so as not to get caught up in the manipulation.

A really great episode. I don't think the hive is malicious. They are trying to convert Carol and the others but only because it is their biological imperative as Zosia has said. They believe they are saving people from "drowning."

I could write a book about this episode. the dance between those two, the head games. both of them trying to probe the other for info. The first thing I picked up on is they seem to have an insatiable desire for new information. finding new info on Carol is like a drug to them. They dream of their home world when they close their eyes? Or is that something in their programming? To keep them invested in their mission? Carol called them Keplons. Also muscle memory being retained tells me that those bodies and those consciousnesses might still have a chance to be fixed? I read an interesting article by a guy on reddit who is knowledgeable about radio signals and that audio clip of Manu listening to their signal yielded some info. It's not a data stream. But it does contain a lot of info like one thing is a pulse. like a clock. the others are markers for defined states. i.e. many times a second the order is sent to return to a defined state. (back on mission/task) this again tells me that these consciousnesses have to be whipped back into line. Like they have a very brief moment of agency and it's quickly corrected many times a second (like the dots in the intro) also the clock had markers for defined changes in the state at pre-determined times. i.e. they have a deadline they are on to get to certain milestones. What are the state changes? Evolution of the hive? turning of the others? Building of the antenna must be like the last one right? and predetermination carries a lot of possibilities. More to come but Zoisa when she got that call for a second there looked afraid.

to me Carol needed that release but also weaponized it , she is finding out what she needs to know. She is trying to get them to lower their guard and tell her vital stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if she asked Zoisa to show her the Antenna they're building. And she is going to use her book to educate them on what they are actually doing and how it is not what their creator told them it was. This Professor whatever and his temporal compass in her story might represent their creator. If she demonstrate to them how even the most benevolent idea can be flawed and actually cause the opposite of it's intended effect or convince them their creator was malevolent and lied to them she might turn them.

Not a big deal but the croquet thing didn't make sense to me. Just because you may "know" how to play the game doesn't mean you can perform it. Everyone's bodies are different and have different limitations. They may have Michael Jordan's thoughts but it doesn't mean Zosia could dunk from the free throw line. Could she make a 90' putt because she has the mind of Tiger Woods?

Fair point but I personally feel that whether they’re malicious or not(and I don’t think they are either), it would be irrelevant in my mind. They hijacked the human race and robbed away everything that it means to be an individual. All that makes us special, unique, commonalities & differences, heroes to root for & villains to defeat, passions to pursue in life and things to stand up for & fight against, etc. All gone. And they killed millions of people during their “hijacking” including Carol’s partner. I personally completely understand Carol’s & Monusos attitude towards them 😁

Bulletbot - Exactly, completely agree. Whether “they” realize it or not or whether it’s intentional or not….the diner, the waitress, Zosia kissing her knowing how lonely she is….its all toxic & complete manipulation. Not sure many people get that.
