Steven, I feel your pain. I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer at the beginning of Covid. Because of the lockdowns very few could attend the service. It was very strange. I wish I had some good words of wisdom to share but all I can say is that I wish I had someone in my life like Nikki to lean on, and her to lean on me, when the storms come. You two will make it though, and eventually it does stop raining.

As a mama with a 16 year old son, I can tell you that all I would want is for him to be ok when I'm gone. I wouldn't want him to be sad, I wouldn't want him to cry. I would want him to continue to live his life and to be happy. Just remember me, tell stories about me to his children and grandchildren. As long as you keep her memory alive, she'll always be with you.

I lost my father in 2022. The pain will never go away. But as time goes on, the good memories outweigh the crushing tragedy of the end. Hang in there. It will get better.

Steven, I'm sorry to learn of your Mama's passing. I've been offline for a while and am just catching up. You're so right, grief does come in waves. It never really goes away. "What is grief if not love persevering?" is still one of the truest lines from WandaVisIon or any MCU show/film. For what it's worth, watching you & Nikki again is part of my return-to-joy plan.
