Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!! Ya'll are both awesome! I've followed your channel for years. Love to see you enjoying another great show!

Happy birthday, Nikki! You guys are the best 😊 Also wanted to mention that Baelor does have two different colored eyes—one blue and one purple, as does his son Valarr. Alyssa Targaryen, mother of Viserys and Daemon, also had two differently-colored eyes (one green and one blue). Seems to be a thing in some Targaryen generations. As a book reader, this series has been surpassing my admittedly high hopes and expectations. Fantastic episode, and I can’t wait to see the next!

Hey Nikki that shield is on etsy and on sale. hurry one day left https://www.etsy.com/listing/4417098122/ser-duncan-the-tall-shield-hedge-knight? Great episode, this show reminds me of the best of the GOT episodes. Aegon V "the unlikely" And while I haven't read the books I think that dream and that prophecy from the witch are about another big event later on in Dunk and Egg's tale. And I believe has ties to Dany. (just speculation on my part, not a fact) and this is going to launch the careers of these actors. Peter, Dex, Daniel, Bertie all standouts imo. I see Emmys in their future.

Happy birthday Nikki also it's hilarious that egg tried to tell Duncan he never said he was stable boy also he never really lied to Duncan he just assumed

Happy Birthday Nikki, I haven't read the short stories either but I'm loving the show so far, but probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone that hasn't already gotten some back ground info on the houses and such *whys it bad to hit a Tarygaryen* huh, but easier for the 2 of you to react having watched game of thrones and and house of the dragon. I had to watch it 2x because I watched aloe then seen you posting right after I finished it :p loving all of the casting, and costume designers are nailing it.

Happy birthday Nikki!!! And WOW. WHAT AWESOME EPISODE.This show is incredible. Baelor is badass. That was an incredible moment. There were quite a few really freaking good moments. I am beyond hype!!! Thrones is so back! Can’t wait for the next 2 episodes and HOTD

Jacob Livingston

I haven’t read the books but George has said this follows these short stories almost exactly.

The fossoways are mentioned and still around in thrones. They just aren’t really shown I guess. But in season 6 ep 6 Sam’s sister is mad her father is having her marry Simon fossoway.

They just aren't an important house there are hundreds of houses in westeros but a majority of them aren't relevant unless they interact with the charaters

Tarrell Woods

Happy Birthday, Nikki. Great recap!

I had no idea Egg was Aegon and gonna be a fifth king. This show is a rough hang 'cause everyone wants to tell me everything the show hasn't shown me and then treats me like I should've known already. I didn't see Game of Thrones and only the first season of House of the Dragon. But I really connect with his show. Honestly asking, if I watch along with this channel is it a spoiler free for all? I'm a fan but if this particular reaction is for people that know everything about the story they're telling I'll watch some other Nikki & Steven content and catch up before watching these ones.

You present a difficult question for us. We’ve seen all the GoT content and we will talk about all the things we are aware of. It would be impossible for us to protect viewers of spoilers. We can’t possibly know what every viewer of ours has seen in this universe. There are major spoilers in the show about these characters, which we have talked about in previous episodes. Guess there could be but I’d be a little surprised if reactors/reviewers are watching this without the other shows.

Yah it's all tangled up. A friend of mine told me there's an episode in Game of Thrones that spoils the end of House of the Dragon so I figured not to watch it. Honestly if that guy would just finish the books in this case I'd go that route. But I don't typically wanna start reading or watching something that doesn't have a proper end. Aw well. I hope I didn't come across as mean or rude I think you two are great.

Happy Birthday, Nikki. Same, girl, same. My body ages, but my mind stays the same age. It's a good thing, tho. lol. Sorry so late, but I didn't get an email notification. Kept waiting & waiting. I ended up just going into your collection file, and saw it there. I don't know what happened. I saw your other posts come in, but this one never came. Well, I'm here now. I absolutely adore this episode. I know some things about Baelor, but I never know how much to say because I don't want to spoil anything that might be revealed later. Still haven't finished the books. I decided I was going no further than what I watch on the show. I want to enjoy the show as much as I can. But as far as I know so far, the actor (and the series) is exactly like it should be. See you in the next one.

Dunk is quite different in the show to the books. In the books, Dunk is very young, I think only 17 in this first novella, which kind of explains a lot of his naivete and inexperience. But idk, Peter Claffey sells it, he still comes across as believable, I quite like him as Dunk, even if he is very different. Other than that, the adaptation is a bit of a reverse of Game of Thrones insofar that in Game of Thrones, they obviously had to cut a lot of material from the books, but in this show, they actually massively expand on a lot of what's in the book. The books are novellas, so they're very short. You might think this is a short show, but a lot of fans wondered how they would even stretch the source material into 6 30-minute episodes. And they did it by expanding a lot upon a lot of the world and the characters. Raymun, for instance, is barely a character in the novella, he has like a couple scenes in the whole book. Like he's important for the plot but he doesn't really have much characterization because the story doesn't have time for that. Same with a lot of other characters like Lyonel Baratheon or even Baelor and Maekar. But I think most of what they add is pretty great.
