Maritza Navarro

I expected something totally different, but heard great things about this show.

Karl Sharma

Holy crap! Such a great show

Ryan B

Really good show, but very depressing. Will there be 10 minute reactions? I don't know if I can handle watching it all the way through again lol

MICHAEL THOMPKINS

This show is depressing AF. Just seeing all that bureaucracy in action is sickening. So many lives unnecessarily lost. It's sickening!

Julian Garcia

No way! This is amazing! Loved this miniseries! Excited to rewatch this with you guys!

Brad Ackmann

“The older gentleman” in the bunker= Maester Luwin from Game of Thrones!

Eric Horstman

Was planning on starting to watch this this weekend!!!

Bangtan’s PrettiNikki7

Everyone if you watch try and refrain from giving to much away. Would love for Nikki and Steven to be able to experience this like we all did. From one Stikker to another ❤️

Jacob Craig

its funny how nikki said "oh kitty" and their kitty is right behind steven 😂

RedNovaMistress

Just a random piece of info: Stellan Skarsgård is an actor in this show, you’ll see him in the next episode. Stellan is the father of Gustaf Skarsgård, the actor who plays Floki in Vikings. So glad you’re reacting to this, and Nikki will definitely need tissues for upcoming events.

Reaction Junkie

omg sooo cute!! I saw a little kitty's head poking around haha! 😻😻

Karl Sharma

Also Maester Luwin's actor was the old guy at 42:00-44:00 advocating to cut the phone lines and seal off Pripyat. Quite the opposite of Luwin!

Robin Lee Melendez

Amazing content output, guys! Y'all are champs! I was totally surprised by how much I enjoyed this series. Jared Harris is a criminally underrated actor.

One reason the rest of the world didn't learn the truth about the scope & scale of the Chernobyl disaster is because it occurred in the old USSR. They lied to the U.N., the global nuclear community, & worst of all their OWN people. In an effort to preserve their own seeming might, the Soviet gov't absolutely refused to ask the wider world for help. Many countries, including the USA were prepared to assist. But they wouldn't allow anyone to see the systemic flaws behind their Iron Curtain. Certainly by the time you guys were old enough to learn about Chernobyl, the USSR had become Russia. To this day we still don't know all the facts of the disaster. IMHO students everywhere should study Chernobyl, 3 Mile Island, & the Fukashima nuclear accidents carefully, as well as learning about the benefits of & science behind nuclear power. One thing this series does brilliantly is make the science easy to understand.

This was an amazing miniseries, and I think it's no accident it began airing literally the day after GoT finished ("Keep your subscriptions! We have more great stuff besides GoT!"). Episode one is almost pure horror, though I'm not sure what sub-category of horror it fits into. Episode two is my favorite in the series, so hang in there Nikki! While it's not EXACTLY historically accurate, it's about as close to it as a series in this format can be. I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for your next reaction to it.

Carlos Hurtado

Hell to the yes. What a great surprise.I just finished watching the show over the weekend. It may be in my top ten favorite shows of all time. I can’t wait to watch it again with you two. Thanks!🙏🏽

Ashley

sure of course. Hard to watch. But i'll try to watch it again, with you guys. Not something you google reaction videos to. It's more of an important cultural moment to honor. Not for entertainment. It was brilliantly presented. Processing it individually and as a people, feels like the natural response.... It stays with you after it goes. And it should. edit: I feel like a horrible person for not knowing about this. I did not learn this in school, not even in college

Ashley

STEVEN: Hey, I'd be an insensitive human if I didn't say something.... It may be a good idea that you watch E4, BEFORE Nikki, and decide if you think it's a something she may want to protect herself from. Help her skip a few scenes, possibly. Up to you...obviously. I say it with care. Just...might be too much. I almost threw up. And I'm not near as sensitive to animals as she is. Have a good week, guys.

DustinEatWorld

I've watched it with my girlfriend and we both had tears in our eyes at the end of the last episode...Another great show with Jared Harris is "The Terror" It's only 10 episodes.

YES this ^ please! I know everyone is excited to watch their reactions but some of these are getting close to spoilers!

not sure why I got spoiler moderated there when I was literally explaining how Steven wouldn't have to spoil his reaction entirely as suggested, I appreciate moderators deleting spoilers generally but they can sometimes be overzealous, this is the second time I've been hit on this patreon despite always trying to pick my words carefully. There was little more specific than in Ashley's post that wasn't moderated apart from explaining how easy it would be to skip live :'(

Bryan Givens

So glad you're watching this. I won't lie, it's going to be tough, but so well done from beginning to end and so important.

hi there. I'm confused....did I do something wrong? THis is one of those shows I do not consider an entertainment show. It's more of a ---- visiting a memorial site. Pay your respects. Push yourself through it, to honor it. So, not sure spoilers can be a part of this topic. But it's a real conversation to be had with friends and family, there are some sequences that the human soul --- may not be healthy to witness. I tried to watch their reaction, and had to go see a comedy. It truly stays with you. Takes me a bit to snap out of some of the suffering. But warning others of that possibility, I think is something we must do. THis isn't for the faint of heart. Mom couldn't handle it. I still feel it's so important to watch tho.

Anthony Faricellia

I watched this with my wife every week when it was on. I’ve done a lot of research about Chernobyl and find everything about it very interesting. Spoiler(every lie will tell incurs a a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid)
