We are aware there are certain episodes that Hulu cuts down and we apologize for that inconvenience. There really isn't much we can do about that.

After chatting with Hulu support, it seems to be a glitch. I actually went back and it shows a different episode length for the season 4 premiere... It keeps jumping between 45 and 59 minutes. They aren't sure what the issue is but the episode is supposed to be 59 minutes.

Wish yall could rewatch it. Hopefully you'll be able to notice the length of the episode and try to fix it before watching it. Glad yall know now

Totally understandable. I thought it was weird that I was watching the same episode on Hulu, and it was different from what you guys saw. Not a lot. But you guys did see a few less scenes than I did, using the same platform. Weird!

I don’t think so. The main things were before the guys rode into the clubhouse parking lot for the first time after being released, just that convo between Tara and piney about what is dead should stay dead. And then a kinda cute moment between Tara and Gemma where Gemma tells Tara she is proud of how she handled everything while Jax was away. Told Tara she loved her, and Tara told her she loved Gemma too. But there is a subtle glance that Tara gives Gemma, that makes it seem like she’s being cautious. I think those were the main things you didn’t see. At

And it appears that people in the USA do not have the ability to watch Sons on Disney+. It’s only for international people 😩 it’s a shame cause I’d like to watch the full episodes too

The difference between Hulu and for everyone watching elsewhere is annoying because you miss out on scenes that help explain future episodes. While so much was missing in your version it probably won't be too bad if you can't watch a longer version before the next episode.

Darn hulu, maybe best option would be to google the runtime for each episode just prior to watching and make sure there isn't too large a discrepancy whenever you go to record an episode.

IMDB may be a good choice too as it shows the runtime right at the top and if you keep your eyes from drifting down you can easily avoid the episode synopsis.

This is what has always made me wary of streaming. How they can cut up & change episodes like this for whatever reasons. I was so disappointed for you both watching 4x01 because I felt like you were missing important information. Stuff that is setting up the season & where relationships are. But also some really great scenes & moments were gone. Amazing dialogue missing. I hope 4x02 works out better. Maybe a re-watch of the longer version of 4x01 too (just for you guys sometime)

It's funny...I watched this episode 2 nights ago (On Hulu) and the full episode was there, and now watching it along with your guys reaction, I also have the cut down version

Jamie and I were just talking about how conversations were shaved on ours. Chunks of sentences inside a scene. A 4 min scene would be edited down 60-90+secs. And the conversation Jax proposing, There’s a cut shot giving the ring to the baby. And his proposal/talk about future is missing chunks. Wayne/Clay was shaved. The cops talking. Etc. Shame. Hopefully Hulu doesnt in future

Buy the compete series on digital hd on iTunes. No physical media needed. I bought it years ago for $35. I rewatched. The first time I got the Hulu quick cut and it matched up. I just re-watched and got the longer original cut. All over the place. FX used to re-run Sons in “syndication” and had to fit reruns of episodes into late night time slots. You don’t have to record it, but you guys should watch the original 59 minute cut. So much more conversations about JT, the past, letters. Even more convo with the Russians and ATF and new sheriff. The Sons even run a cop car off the road and a few get detained. I don’t know why Hulu has those late night cut down versions in their system at all.

Yeah I'm watching this on Disney too and it was quite a hassle trying to sync up every 5 minutes, but still managed to watch it to the end 😂 Hulu is having major issues hope they fix it

I can't imagine since both versions exist it would be a huge issue for them to code in a way to choose the one you want but I have been surprised before.

If you play the end of the previous episode 3-13, let it end, and trigger into the start of next episode 4-1, it will give you the full 59 minute episode. If you just come and start watching the new episode 4-1 fresh, it gives you the edited version. Don’t know if this works for the upcoming edited versions but it definitely works here for 4-1.

When you first open the episode, it gives you the 45 minutes, but if you refresh the page it loads the 59 minutes.

Folks watch on devices mostly, not web pages. Do Nikki and Steven watch on a device on browser?

Btw, Hulu support level 2 acts like this has never been an issue. The issue is with everyone’s devices. A simple google search will show this has been an issue with Sons on Hulu as far back as 2016.

I’ve seen online there are some seriously edited episodes in the final 2 seasons.
