Happy Halloween!… -ish… close to. Look. Perhaps both designing and then executing all the required detail for the various costumes took more time than initially expected. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun figuring out their outfits and what they should be. It was also fun drawing clothes other than swimsuits for once. But that, of course, brings us to the “hey, wait a minute” on everyone’s lips. If it’s been established that basically the only articles of clothing on the island are swimwear, where did these jackets, ties and revealing onesies come from and why don’t they just keep wearing them?

Actually, it’s pretty simple. Every October there’s a pop-up Halloween store that opens for business, and all the costumes are only available for rental use. Could someone theoretically just not return it and eat the fine? Sure! And I imagine it’s happened. Problem is, if you go out and about wearing it, you’ll get noticed in a sea of bathing suits pretty much instantly. Look, I could go more into the minutiae of how costume theft is enforced on the island and make sure it’s airtight against any question you could possibly have. And if you have those questions, I’ll answer them. But there’s actually a question I have for you.

As I said, I really liked how these costumes turned out. And I’d like to take one of them out again for at least a “partial” appearance in the form of a pinup. So, my question is: which costume and costume wearer would you like to see more of (but less of the costume) in a pinup?
