Happy New Year And An Update. (Patreon)

I'm certain you lot like me are being bombarded with long messages and/or rants about the year delivered with variations in the sanctimonious delivery. So I'll keep this short.

Happy new year. This marks the one and a half(ish) year mark that I started this thing, I don't have many things I can genuinely claim to be proud of. But one of the few things I do take pride in, is that in that time, I haven't missed a weekend update.

I may have some mixed feelings or reservations about a chapter that was released, but I haven't failed you lot once in that time. So I'll take some pride in that.

So, thank you, for your time, and your words of praise. A special thank you to those of y'all giving out some of your disposable income to some schmuck on the internet who needed help paying his bills and peddled what little ability he has to weave an entertaining enough narrative.

Thank you most of all, to that ever shrinking number of y'all who have been here from the beginning. Without whose steady support, this last year and its monthly emergencies would have been even more difficult to navigate. If not for you, I would have had to settle for cheaper food for my dog.

That said, I of all people understand the need to tighten the belt. If you need to cut support to me, believe me, I understand. Take care of yourselves first, only then can you help others. I'm just a voice on the internet who tries and occasionally succeeds to be a little entertaining.

But, to all of you lot who have helped me navigate the last year and a half. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

Now, onto 2026.

Kaiju Slaying is likely going to end soonish. The last two chapters were actually fairly difficult to write because I was so eager to get to the good part that I could scarcely put brain power to the side to write anything else.

Well. We have reached the good part. I expect that story to be fairly smooth sailing from here.

Now, what comes after Kaiju Slaying.

I have had two story ideas tumbling around my head for a good while, and I’ve been having trouble deciding which of the two would become the ‘next’ main story. To the point of decision paralysis.

I talked with a friend of mine, and his advice is one I have decided on, even though he went out of his way to make it as memeish as possible, the jackass.

To quote him ‘Do that which springs the most joy.’

So I’m doing both.

After Kaiju Slaying is over, I’ll switch from one story getting two updates a month, to three main stories that get an update, and one side story that y’all vote on.

As to what the stories will be.

The first is something near and dear to my heart. That I literally grew up with.

That being Transformers. And dare I say it, it'll be a story tackling something I haven't seen in anything Transformers, but that I've always wanted to see. So I guess it falls to me to make it happen. XD

The second is a story that has been nagging at me for a while. And it's a story that takes place in the world of Zenless Zone Zero.

I've used this time of PTO to write out a few chapters of both. Enough that I'll be able to post them and give a sampling as to what the stories will be about when the time comes for them to start getting updated. So please look forward to that. ^_^
