Monty

Where's the Best Bestie bracket?

Van Tegtmeier

If we get character creator, can we also get new Monster Factories in those that win?

Michael Hackbarth

Let’s go, I understand the appeal for best game creator with Justin and Griffen; but I’m hoping best game in a game will win.

Allen Keen

Does Best character creator come with an all besties Monster Factory??

Evan Odson

If it ends up being Best Character Creator, I wouldn’t be mad if a new monster factory dropped with the bracket episode! lol

Mike Corris

If we vote for "best game within a game" I'm 90% certain we get to hear the besties fight over some Yakuza game or another

Taylor Kelty

Every time you get just a little closer to non-game brackets like Best Sally Field Performance or Best Leftovers To Have For Lunch or Best Pants and I'm not gonna stop rollin' the dice anytime soon.

Andrew Bunton

Can I vote for 2? Gotta get in on that character creator (with Monster Factory?!), but would also love to hear the bespoke peripheral episode.

Kevin Proff

These are all so solid, but how can we not start with best character creator when we have the best in the biz right here?

Casual Flying

Best Bespoke peripheral is Steel Battalions Mech Dashboard controller.

Charlie Verdin

I dunno if or how much ya'll have played Eastward, but the in-game game Earth Born is a weirdly compelling and fleshed out literal game within a game worth mentioning.

Gobblurrito

What I am about to post is going to pre-determine the outcome of the best game-within-a-game bracket, but I'll say it anyway: The card game from act one of Inscryption is technically a game within a game.

Casey Francis Alger

Best Hub World........ I can still hear the crashing waves of Majula from Dark Souls 2 echoing against my mind, melancholy baby!!!!

YNGBLD

Spore getting an honorable mention in best character creator. I can feel it

Kid Moxie

Honestly these are all bangers. Whoever voted for toilet games should get -1000 votes penalty.

Stephen Taubner

Alright how deep are we getting with best game within a game? Like are we talking on the level of Gwent or of Frog Fractions 2?

Victor Hart

I already know the best Game within a Game is the Dragon Quest style RPG you can play in Eastward. But there's no way it ends up in the bracket.

Kai Filippucci

Bespoke peripherals is an excellent pull, I am dying to hear their impressions of Steel Battalion.

John Erickson

I think best pet would be very funny. But my favorite part of Besties is anytime someone is very passionate about an obscure game, because I feel like I'm getting to learn more about video game history through their passion. So I went with bespoke peripherals in hope of some fun obscure stuff.

Tim Spaeth

Blitzball is a game within a game, right? BLITZBALL CONVO.

Alex T. Rex

Common guys, best thief! Think about how funny that would be, I'm imaging the convo and it's unhinged

BassToad

Hub World/ Home Base is my vote, though I'm sure Griffin and Justin would be experts on best character creator

Alec Maure

gotta pour one out for JA’AM

Avery

I need to point out that the word "rubric" refers to the list of measures you're scoring. You keep using it to refer to the individual questions, and that's not right

Scotty Potty

It’s GOTTA be the pet. The Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Chao area has held a sturdy #1 place in my heart for a long time

Hila SketchCat Shats

you cant put up a picture of pam and expect me to vote for anything OTHER than best character creator. I would say this podcast contains the leading experts on the subject

MountLatino

Dude these are so good. This community rocks.

rooster87

Ok but if they do best character creator, they gotta do a monster factory for whichever game wins

Aaron White

Probably not the best, but shoutout to Journey of the Prairie King for being a game within a game that is the only thing keeping me from 100%'ing my beloved Stardew Valley. Grrrr.

Dan Brown

May I present best game within a game; the Witcher side scroller arcade game in Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty

K

Do all of them

Dan K

All great ideas but I crave more monster factory related content so the choice is obvious

Lily

Thank you Besties for putting my suggestion in the running for an episode! I’d like to second all the great folks here who are requesting an all Besties episode of Monster Factory should best character creator win!

Edward Ross

These are all great and I’d listen to all of them!

Brandon Wood

Got to love ranked choice voting :)

Adm. Bonetopick

ohhh ok so i’m new-ish here, not doing a “best fishing minigame” ep is a bit, right? is this cuz of Nier?!

Kathryn

I hope the options that don’t win stay in the hopper for potential future brackets! Good selections!

Jim Redding

Not to completely steal his schtick, but Patrick Willems is currently running a bracket to decide a future video topic. With all the bracket ideas you guys get, doing a bracket style vote to decide a bracket episode could be real fun, and might give you a better idea of #1 vs #2 episode ideas vs. this current pick one style of voting... #rankedvoting

i just relistened to the toilet game bracket - would yall do a similar one for (mostly phone) games to play at bedtime? so few games have dark mode and Threes has been a constant bedtime pal for years but i wonder if theres better options out there
