I'm really surprised by Chris not liking the storytelling of Hades II as much as the first. I feel very strongly that the sequel's plot feels epic in its stakes and has more momentum as a result, while still giving the main character a very personal goal and journey. I've also found myself completely caught off guard by how much I enjoy the new characters; Supergiant could have very easily rested on their laurels and brought back most of the original main cast as your constant companions, but instead gave us a brand new set of people to talk to and grow relationships with during our downtime.
