Probably my least favourite episode of the series, you're right the emperor could have easily done that at the very start and avoided any deaths. BUT the next 4 episodes are my favourite of this era! Can't wait

Also not sure if you're aware but the 50th anniversary is coming up and there's a one off docu-drama called 'An Adventure in Time and Space' you should react to - it tells the story of how the show started and it is amazing

I completely agree about the kids being in danger. At least he should have put them in the Tardis with Clara there too, to make sure they don't start pressing buttons and pulling levers. But, of course, then no story. It is annoying though when there are little parts of the plot that don't make sense even if it is just a feeling that "he wouldn't behave like that". I still really enjoy it though, for Matt's dual role as the Doctor and the Cyber Controller aka "Mister Clever". I think you may have missed that he did impersonations f both Chris and David. Their voices and their catch phrases. "Fantastic" as well as "Alons y!" Starting from next week... A series of "specials" and some extras like the docu-drama mentioned by dwp which you really mustn't miss. The 1990s tv "movie" and a couple of minisodes are also worth a look for the sake of completeness.

I loved the episode if you take away the emperor being able to orient all of this. I hate when theres a solution but they dont take it and theres no good reason not to. He just wasted all those lives for nothing. 😅 I cant wait for the next episodes!!

Oh yes please! If its not too much trouble. Dr who is gone from prime again so I do t even know where I can watch it after 7, I should have bought them all when they came back 😅

I don't know how others feel, but when you watch the anniversary special called "The day of the doctor" there is a whopping great spoiler (in my opinion) which happens while the opening scene is playing out. There is an opening scene and then the name "Matt Smith", followed by a bunch of other credits, appears on the screen (not the usual time vortex credits, just names in the sky as the scene is playing out). You should close your eyes as soon as you see Matt Smith's name appear and not watch until you hear a soldier shout "Attention!" then it's okay to look again. I'll leave it up to you whether you chose to do this or just watch as normal. I just personally feel it's more effective if you see the 'thing' as it happens in the storyline and not just as a passing opening scene/credit tease.

Oh prime spoiled that already if you mean MY FAVORITE DOCTOR DAVID 😭 on prime he's the thumbnail for that episode. I hate them so much for spoiling that.

I did wonder if that particular bit might be spoilt by the thumbnail but, no, it's something different that is show in the 30 seconds between Matt's name and the soldier saying 'attention!'

No problem. I'm sure there will be lots of other exciting moments within the episode itself, even if "it" is accidentally spoilt but this "thing" a lot of fans were actually annoyed about as the media had been able to keep it secret and then it was given away in the first scene. Matt's name appears first and then David's name, so if you already know about David then you can close your eyes after 'David Tennant" instead 🤣 it feels silly explaining this but it's nice if you can get the best experience possible.
