Hah, yeah you're not the only one confused with Will in the hospital, the first time I saw it I thought "oh no what happened to Will?! before I realised he was recreating Gideon's crime scene. Hannibal is always serving people, and making very obvious jokes about it, it's all part of the fun for him! I don't think it was Miriam's tongue though, I think there were 3 different tongues, those could be from anyone. The fact that Jack was talking to Hannibal about how he was feeling, and then Hannibal used that against him, so messed up! You may want to watch the "previously on" parts going forward, they will help you keep what's important in mind. Things start tying in a lot, and you don't want to miss those connections. Yeah, I think it's that Miriam got so close 2 years ago, the closest anyone had ever got, it rattled him. I don't think it's spoilery to say, I think that the show has made it clear, that Hannibal was the Hobbs copycat. He said he could help Will see the killer's face, then they get that body with all the clues to help Will understand Hobbs. Then later we saw Hannibal keep the rock that hit Nick Boyle and had his blood on, then another body showed up, by the copycat, with some of Boyle's blood on. There's loads more things. It is subtle, but adds up. Funny thing about the show is at first we assume all the killers are Hannibal, but they aren't, then by the time it is Hannibal we are surprised! Best to just assume he is also always killing in the background! He's the ripper, the copycat, and who knows how many others!

Oh I can't believe I forgot, the drawing that Miriam saw in Hannibal's office! If you go back and rewatch the first episode, when Jack first shows up at Hannibal's office, Hannibal asks Jack to wait in the waiting room, presumably to tidy up, but then Jack also looks at Hannibal's drawings, and you can see in the pile is a quick recreation of that same drawing!! Hannibal probably did a quick sketch to see if Jack would see what Miriam saw! But he wasn't looking for a killer there, so he didn't see it!

also, this is why I love reactions, I've seen this show so many times, one of my top shows of all time, and still there are new things to see. I hadn't noticed before how Chilton straight up pointed at Will, and Will's uncomfortable look! Thank you for pointing that out!

Chilton basically just wanted credit for catching the Ripper and used unethical methods to make Gideon believe he was the Ripper. Hannibal was passive-aggressively calling Chilton out for unethical practices because he's furious that Chilton's responsible for someone else taking credit for Hannibal's murders. Hannibal's pettiness is quite humorous to me. Will did warn Jack that the Ripper would respond to Gideon's plagiarism and that's exactly what transpired. People need to listen to Will more. This show is kind of made for theorizing, so I don't think there's anything wrong with overthinking, as long as you're willing to be surprised by where the plot goes.
