Awakening in the warehouse (Patreon)

Bailey didn’t know what happened after the beam struck her. One moment she was walking through the testing facility, it was late and she should have been the only person there. She was locking up the facility when she heard a noise from lab 2C.
“that’s weird. Dr Mallard should be at home. Her team his a huge milestone with their mater transformation ray today. She really needs to stop burning the candle at both ends.” Bailey muttered to herself as she entered the lab. “But then again look who is talking.”
Entering the lab she found the lights off but the room still brightly lit by the electric blue glow of the large raygun as it sat atop its tripod in the center of the room. Looking around she expected to see Dr Mallard or one of her assistants, but no one was there. She made the mistake of stepping into the room and calling out, hoping there wasn’t something wrong with the lab’s electrical system.
She didn’t notice the figure dressed head to toe in black until he stepped out of the shadows. With one swift movement he swung the gun sitting in the center of the room at her, aimed, and pressed the fire button. the last thing she saw was the beam of light hit her chest and everything fading to black.
now she found herself somewhere completely different. Instinctively she knew it had been three days, six hours and fifty seven minutes since she had fallen asleep and… wait how did she know that? Why did she feel so stiff? Why did everything she focused on become highlighted in her HUD and- wait- hud?
“Oh no.” She said. It tried to. It was only then she realized the lack of a mouth on her face, or anything in her face actually. Turning to the left she found herself standing next to a household cleaning unit, one made by the company she works for, basically a glorified rumba. Shifting she could see an entire row extending off into the darkness. Swiveling her head to the left she saw the same. Rows and rows of identical service units… all in perfectly straight rows…. And she was lined up perfectly…
Looking down she realized the truth. She was the same. White and black synthetic polymer body. Her limbs and neck made soft whirring noises as she moved.
“Oh this is going to be sooo much paperwork!”
