Sneak peek of Validation #493 (w/script!) (Patreon)

Panel 1

Jim, June and Gary are inside the bar talking amongst themselves. Danni and Ally look on. Albert is at the bar getting drinks.

DANNI: Oh hey, that’s Jim McCabe.

ALLY: You like his comics?

DANNI: Only know 25/7. But heard he has something new in the works that’s supposed to be a breakthrough.

Panel 2

Ally and Danni. In the background Titus and Marty recognize someone they know and are happily reconnecting with them.

DANNI: I know you dated him. It’s unprofessional for me to ask you to try and get him interested in working with us.

ALLY: Well, it’s such a small industry. You’re bound to meet him at some point. Might as well get a proper introduction.

Panel 3

Ally and Danni. Albert is walking back gingerly with three bottled beers.

DANNI: Only if you feel ok about it. We live by the Pirate Code. I will never ask you to break it.

ALLY: We shall sally forth.

ALLY (CAPTION): Well ok. Jim has a new girlfriend and she is super pretty. Good for him, but it does make me feel a little weird. But I can be professional. I can do this.
