20%: Interior Design (Patreon)

20% is an idea my friend David Fairley and I first discussed way back in the late 90s. We were working at the same chain restaurant and couldn't believe the daily shenanigans that went on there. At one point we laughed at the notion that the restaurant was very much like a Hell on Earth. 

Over the past twenty years (wowsy that sounds like a long time) we've developed the concept. This particular piece helps illustrate what Beelzebub's looks like on the inside. I'm sure if you've been to a TGIFridays, Chili's or Applebee's this layout might look familiar. The piece is based on our descriptions and is drawn by Christian Meesey.

My favorite detail is the addition of celebrity demon photos on the wall! I think Ghost Rider made it up there 🙂

The goal of these designs is to create a blueprint so other writers and artists can tell stories in our universe. Hopefully we'll get to the point one day in which that can happen.
