When Comflix Studios optioned the motion comics rights to Dracula vs King Arthur the hope was the entire graphic novel would be adapted. We were able to get the first part of the story completed using the same cast and crew. Expenses mounted up however, and a different approach was taken for the next part. Unfortunately, only three minutes of animation was completed before the plug was pulled. Those three minutes have never been shown anywhere... until now.

The new approach was leaner and faster paced, but it worked! The cuts were quicker. The music was more driving and electric in tone, compared to the orchestration of the first part. The voice over performers did a fine job. All-in-all I was very happy with it.

I don't dwell on "if onlys". You can't when you work in the creative world. The fact anything gets made always amazes me because there are so many forces out there that push back against creation. You cannot focus on "what might have been". You can look back and learn from the work you've produced before, even take a moment to be proud of accomplishments, but you must then turn, and keep moving ahead.

And who knows, there might be new life for Dracula vs King Arthur in the animated world yet! We'll never know unless we keep pushing forward.
