Ally is sitting down in the audience at a panel taking notes.ALLY (CAPTION): So many interesting points of view here! I always enjoy attending panels in the US but it’s nice to hear opinions from a different perspective.

Panel 2

Ally walking through the con hall checking things out. Can we throw in a group of people cosplaying the tv show UFO? (Costume references included.)

ALLY (CAPTION): No matter where you go conventions seem to have a similar energy. It’s like you’re in a bubble shut away from the outside world.

ALLY (CAPTION): And these events are all over the globe now taking place somewhere practically every weekend.

ALLY (CAPTION): There was even a first-ever comic-con in Saudi Arabia recently and women were allowed to commingle with men. Amazing. If I tried to cover the event they probably wouldn't allow me to even enter the country.

ALLY (CAPTION): Hmmm... But could fan culture eventually help save society at large? Might I be able to survive a trip to the Middle East one day and attend a con? Another article idea! (Kelci and I discussed this last part and decided to go with what you see in the final version.)
