You’ve had it. Life has been hard lately, and those jerks at school have bullied you pretty hard today. During your lunch break, you head to the bathroom for some peace. Empty—perfect. The weight of your perceived failures lies heavy on your shoulders, and you find yourself sobbing in one of the cubicles. Until someone walks in… and cheers you up from the other side of the door.

Amazing as always. If this becomes a series, the listener is can be interpreted as transfemme coded from the speaker’s responses.

I hope I had a friend like this back in the days

Shelter cooked once more! Beautiful artwork and really nice audio again. I can really relate with this one. It may sound made up but I was bullied hard in school. Elementary and High School. So basically for 8 years straight by different people all in and outside of my class. I still don't know the reason. I can only suspect that it was because I had different interests than the others. But who can really tell? I grew and now it's hust a thing that made me stronger. Would I have loved a peaceful school time where I could reminisce sometimes today? Yeah! Am I okay with who I am today as well? Meh... 6/10 but I'm okay.

The art is really beautiful! Thanks for another lovely piece, Storm! ❤️

Korden

Thank you for saying that. It was a hard time but I survived it!💪🏻

Sigmund

It was really touching, I haven't felt comfort in a long time, I was bullied and picked on a lot, but that's long behind me. Thanks Storm really needed it, take care 💞

This Aubrey sounds like an utter jerk! I bet she listens to esoteric music too. I loved this character, Storm. She reminds me a bit of Kathy Rain. She's a video game character who behaves in a similar fashion, only she drives a chopper and solves murder mysteries. I think you might like her. Moreover, I had similar experiences to this when I was younger. I always ate lunch in classrooms on account of my schools' cafeterias being so loud, not to mention violent. On the bright side, I was able to get my work done and eventually I met some friends in an area away from the noise. They were good people. Appreciate the audio, Storm, and I hope you've been feeling better.

User_Unknown

Storm's right. 8 years sounds like torture. I am sorry you had to endure such things. It sounds like you've been doing better since then, and I'm glad for that.

User_Unknown

Sorry to hear that, dude. Regardless of how long it's been, you didn't deserve it. 🫂

Sigmund

Of course I don't think about it anymore, even if sometimes it comes back to me.

I don't know Kathy Rain but she does sound cool indeed! Always breaks my heart to know that people went through similar things 😢 I'm glad you were able to find some cool friends nonetheless.

User_Unknown

Absolutely. The art style of the game is awesome as well. 8-bit, but full of detail. I highly recommend either playing it or watching a walkthrough on YouTube. Same here. School shouldn't be a place where its students should feel afraid. I appreciate your kind words.

She can back him up the next time he get bullied, or he can help with her homework. Or maybe both 🤔

I’d love to hear her tattoo tour 🤭 This reminded me of a time when I was a freshman in college, heading to the restroom to wash my hands. I was already late for class, so I was in a hurry. While washing my hands, I suddenly heard a wailing sound coming from one of the stalls. I panicked so bad because my first thought was that I was being haunted. (At the time, I was obsessed with listening to people’s paranormal experiences, and bathrooms were often mentioned as ghost hotspots.) So I ran out of the bathroom without even drying my hands. But I still think about it from time to time. Like, what if it was just a girl who was having a bad day, and I could’ve reached out to her?

Riron

I agree with you. School should be a safe space😔 Do you still talk to those friends?

Riron

Serious respect for making it through.

User_Unknown

Without doubt. Sometimes, yes. Most of them have been pretty busy though.

User_Unknown

Same here. Her tattoos have nice patterns. I'm sorry to hear that. That would have been my first instinct too. She might have just needed some time alone, so I'd say you made the right choice. Moving forward, if you ever do encounter someone in the same situation, you know what to do.

Message in a bottle ASMR

I can't with you 😂 maybe it WAS Moaning Myrtle 😂 😂 and yeah I love the way Shelter drew the tattoos, that could be a fun part 2 😏

Riron

I hope you’re right, User. But yeah, I’ve gone over how to handle the situation in my head so many times already. So now I know.

Riron

Nooooo not Myrtle 🤣 I was barely holding it together with just the wailing… imagine if I actually saw her 😭

Riron

It’s good to hear that you’re still in contact with them. Adulting is so weird. Most of the time, you need to make appointments just to meet friends because of everyone’s busy schedules 😭

User_Unknown

I know, right? It's worse when you're on different time zones.

User_Unknown

If it were Myrtle, I think you'd be alright. It's the Basilisk I'd be more concerned about. Ah, yes. I can't tell you how many times I have gone over things in my head as well. Unfortunately, we can't change our past actions, only our future ones.

Riron

Oh no… I beg to differ. To me, the Basilisk is definitely terrifying, but running while avoiding eye contact feels pretty straightforward. But Myrtle… she creeps me out way more. Her voice is whiny, and she comes off as emotionally manipulative. For someone like me who absorbs other people’s moods like a sponge, she’s just emotionally exhausting. So honestly, I’d be running for my life from her instead. But yes. You’re right about the past and future.

Riron

Omg yes! I get it!

To think how much we would all benefit from a bathroom confessional with a pastor, who looks a lot like a straightforward-drowning-in-dry-sarcasm-goth-chick (who's really a big softie) 🖤 I feel like too many of us don't realize how truly meaningful it is to have someone simply be present. Family, friend, partner, or stranger. To listen, to talk to, to vent to, or like you said, to have someone to just feel things with. Being a genuine presence can validate someone's feelings, help them feel not so alone, and can start to build the deeper connections that we all want. With attention, warmth, and patience. And because it isn't always easy to share our vulnerabilities, we should all try to be that someone for others, too ❤️‍🩹 Appreciate you and what you do, as always!

LUNAR

I second this. This would be a wonderful 3-4 parter
