Historically, Angelica had already been happily married with children in England when Eliza and Alexander met. However, the Schuyler's didn't really approve of Angelica's husband, as Angelica had eloped with him. I believe only Eliza and Alexander had a proper wedding, and Eliza was the only one among her siblings who didn't elope. Angelica and Alexander did have some flirty letter exchanges, though. I guess Lin-Manuel Miranda took some creative liberties, and ran with it. Though, I'm not stressed about it haha. "Satisfied" is a banger!

Unfortunately, George Washington didn't attend Hamilton's wedding 😭 He was away, as he was still commanding the Continental Army. Not only did Washington not attend, but he had also been reluctant to give Hamilton leave at all to get married as they were in the middle of a war. The wedding was a small affair with only close family present. I don't think even Angelica had attended the wedding, as she was in England at the time, and trans-Atlantic travel during the war would have been difficult. Though I still love Washington and Hamilton's relationship in the musical, and I love the idea of Washington officiating the wedding. While Hamilton may not be the most historically accurate, I still love it, and the songs are all bangers!

christ ive never laughed this much at 4 in the morning, thanks guys xD

Lyric

Actually when Lin was writing this he forgot that there was actually sons, when it said "My father has no sons, so I have to social climb for one" just a fun fact

MildlyPerturbed

Yeah, Philip Schuyler had three sons, and five daughters.

I’m 100% Satisfied seeing you guys R/A this song :> Also, the whole couch gaming thing Mortius talked about is so real, I prefer the couch as well but my love for Java over Bedrock outweighs everything xD

Everyone talks about Guns And Ships as being really hard to sing/rap, and like yeah but *what about Satisfied?* Not just the speed but just trying to get through some of those lines without stumbling or tripping over your own tongue, so to speak!

EepLeep

I always thought that Alexander sounds confused in satisfied. He sounds so confident in helpless and then in the retelling he's actually confused because he thought he was gonna get with Angelica and ended up with Eliza

Felicity McDonald

"the gossip in New York city is insidious" is such a good rhyming line I love it so much

To add another layer of complexity to this pair of songs, go back and watch the choreography. After the rewind, the same choreography from Helpless is repeated in Satisfied. It is obviously done at a different pace and with a few modifications, but as a dancer I love this detail!

I’ve always interpreted “Satisified” as being about ambition. Their romantic attraction is secondary. Angelica’s rapping indicates her mind is as quick as his.

Hamilton received a record-breaking 16 Tony (US theater) nominations and won 11 awards, including Best Musical.

Mortius! Whyfor telling Casper the gimmick of the song before he has a chance to see?

Renee Elise Goldsberry (Angelica's Actress) is INCREDIBLE--not only does she do both the rapping and singing so well, Lin has said that 'Satisfied' was her audition song--he didn't knwo the directors had picked it as the song of the angelica actresses to audition with and was worried that none of them would be able to do it well, since they wouldn't have long to learn it, but--if memory serves--Renee knocked it out of the park with less than 24 hours of prep, I think?

Watching this made me think that you guys would probably very much enjoy reacting to the cut song "Congratulation" from this musical once you get to where the song would have been if that has not been thought of yet. I'm still sad it didn't make the cute haha - It's so good. Chiino's animatic of the song is fantastic as well. As always great reaction, thanks for the content!

Hamilton’s eyes were apparently really pretty IRL. They were supposedly blue-violet, depending on the light.

Geveryging

Hamilton won 11 Tony awards
