Dead Girl Walking’s definitely one of my favorites outside of a song coming up! I WILL say the animatic is surprisingly only a little bit more… intense? Than some professional stage versions I’ve seen. There’s also a cover by JD’s original actor that I would definitely recommend checking out!

Yes, the actors do indeed ‘go at it’ on stage, the show I watched live, they even got partially undressed on a mattress and made out, so it’s a very similar scene as shown in the animatic 😊

Hilariously, the version for high school performances has a heavily rewritten version of this song that involves them tamely kissing and falling asleep cuddling; in the morning she tells him he was her first... kiss. And then they move on to the unadulterated Me Inside of Me. Because 17 year olds having consensual sex is much worse than making someone drink drain cleaner. 👍🏼

This animatic is actually pretty accurate. There are a few liberties in the middle, but she's definitely full on fake riding him on the stage 😂 She stays fully dressed save unbuttoning her shirt and taking off her jacket, though, and he was just in underwear to start with. This is also my FAVORITE. Play 3X or bust.
