Okay, so not the most imaginative title in the world, but here is the first of the custom scenes brought to you by one of the Smut Master members (and a second is one the way in a couple weeks).

The premise of the it is to show a tiny bit of what happened in Book 1 between the morning after Halloween (when Noah drunkenly asked Sam to sleep naked) and the next chapter where he summarizes the torture of that.

It really only covers the next day, but I think it's a good example of what Noah went through.

Warning: The final bit of this, starting with the words “Weeks later, Samantha lay awake, staring at the shadowy ceiling.” foreshadow part of Noah and Sam's arc for Book 2 -- it's not a spoiler, per se, and you'll get the same reveal early in book 2 (not in the first preview chapters, probably the second preview post in a week or two).

And here's a couple images we came up with to feel the theme. I hope you enjoy it.

She obviously loves him it’s been obvious since her harmony affinity activated there had to be some fuel for that she’s just missing something when she looks at it

Hugh Sweeten

Nice to see things from Sams perspective. She's a very interesting character. Big thumbs up.

Really enjoyed this Daniel. Adds really well to the 1st book, but only in a non-chronological way (ie it would not work as well if it was in the book). Sorry that others don’t get to read it really. Probs not that important, given that fact, but there is a ‘site’ that should be a ‘sight’ in there.

I just finished it. I love the dual perspective and that last foreshadowing bit made me a little sad-which is good, I think. I'm looking forward to seeing Sam work through her emotions. There are quite a few authors that publish short stories for the in-between books moments. I think that may have a place after the series or after a big arc.

That got just a bit dark there at the end That was a great standalone story Didn’t overshadow anything Didn’t Redcon anything I don’t think it even had any spoilers Really enjoyed it

I love this def more of this! The context is awesome and knowing the internal struggle while having some questions clearly answered through the others pov is amazing.
