Hey everyone. So I have several episodes of The Big Question coming up once a month with extended roundtables, man on the street, and crowd work. Would love to get y'all's feedback. I want the show to succeed. It's my new baby.

Ernesto Guzman

Loved the conversation, but it started and ended abruptly. I know this was dipping your toe, but a preview of the next show would be good. "Join us next time as we talk about..."

Kara Grice

I loved it all! Your interpersonal skills were amazing during the street interviews. And the round table had hilarious, intelligent guests & the discussion was great.

Gavin Ray

I always liked on Trixie and Katya Show (ft Bob) when you would speak to an expert of sorts - but the format is fresh and the topic being lighthearted was nice. I think we consume a lot of big negative topics nowadays so seeing that sort of interaction was refreshing!

Clint R.

Enjoyed both videos. I think my only feedback would be that the 1st ep of The Big Question cuts between too many different formats which made it seem a bit unfocused. Maybe having the show be more segmented with intros/bumpers in between …. IDK

Anders

I love man on the street and how you interact with the public in such a funny, organic way

Hunter-Teri

I like that you have different ways to address the question, the contrast makes it interesting. I feel like the roundtable is great for long form content on Youtube. But I think you should keep the street/crowdwork sections separated and use that as Tiktok/Reels/Shorts content. I follow so many “man on the street” creators and also stand up comedians and the content does well. so maybe dont do like a montage with all three things like you posted on purse first. post a whole video w the man on the street portion. post a whole video with the crowdwork. maybe do some clips of the roundtable. but in all three direct them to your channel so they can enjoy the roundtable if the content is interesting to them.

Tamario

Would it be too much to do a funny skit in the beginning related to the question kinda like a SNL could open

dib

If the structure of the videos were like a liiiitle bit more linear then they’d be extra easy to follow :)

rigga morris

I need an interracial dating round table 👀

Julian

I love the blend but too much back and forth gave me whiplash. Maybe keep all the segments together like start with just you, then stand up followed by man on the street and end with a round table

Silas Miami

I'm sure everyone has really great ideas - I just need you to follow your instincts. The extra roundtable ep addition proves -to me at least- that they're right ❤️

FeiztyLeo (Jayson)

I love the conversation! I saw someone else mentioned it but I agree, instead of it being a back and worth between the segments maybe have it flow from to the next and then end it with either the round table or the stand up skit. Intro - Stand Up 1st Segment - Round Table 2nd Segment - Street Interviews 3rd Segment -Stand Up Skit / Round Table Ending - Round Table Outro Doesn't need to be an exact but just a better flow!

Alicia Jackson

My ADHD brain loved the different formats and it kept me engaged

Jose Salazar

Awww bobs new babeh💕✨ but I agree the back and forth was a bit much. I think like everyone else said have it flow a bit better would make it better if that makes sense. Otherwise I think as long as you follow your instincts about it you’ll be fine! We love your content and what you create! Also can we have one lemon pepper wings, and other foods? (As a huge fan of wings myself)

alex

I really like the mix of formats (street interviews and roundtable) because it truly feels like a show. Like I could see this on Vice/Vice’s YouTube back in the day. Super engaging!!

Alana Rodriguez

I loved it it was so interesting and fun to watch! Go bob!!

Andrea

I loved it Bob! As soon as I saw it was up I immediately watched! I thought you had a fantastic panel as well. They were all ready to have a good time and the show flowed nicely .

GeneralEve

I like it , i think the game part should be a bit more tricky this first one was a bit obvious. They were mostly all but 1 real shows. I think you could even incorporate things for them to write down, like a final answer type.

sunflowerleaf

I loved it!!! I am obsessed with man on the street and I think it's a perfect format honestly but I know you can and will elevate it !! and I know Bobbleheads are also full of freaking creative suggestions !! If you can somehow weave DND/traitors/witch or other games that would be amazing omgomg maybe some after midnight inspired shit??? But yea keep going!! Bits bits bits baby maybe go Nathan Fielder and fly a spaceship

Ofelia Brooks

I really liked it too, though I thought there was too much interrupting, and not everybody was at the same volume level for the round table. For instance, kid fury is one of my favorites, but I could barely hear him over others.

Lauren Smithance 🍉🕊️🌈

I really enjoyed it! I love a man on the street thing, and wouldn't mind more of that and the games. And I didn't mind the back and forth, I think that can be fun.

Darrin

Loved the roundtable, it jumped around a bit for me, like bitch we are back outside again lol we could use some dope ass transitions.

Mercedes Major

I loved the first half. The discussion was funny and even when I disagreed, it was enjoyable. When we got to trivia I kinda checked out.

Joey Stone

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 really great first episode (and round table). I agree with the people saying that the diversity of content really contributes positively to the show’s entertainment value. There’s more opportunity for “Clown-Bob” in the transitions between segments. The last ep was (brilliantly) about musicals so, transitions with you in different MT drag giving reworks of iconic lines from musicals would have been such great icing on top. We love your brain but we also love Bob the DRAG QUEEN, so finding ways to infuse her more into the theme of each episode would be divine. Someone else mentioned this but having a solo “conclusion moment” (maybe even in full drag 😉) would help the arc of each episode. We hear from all these different people and opinions and it would be nice to learn how your perspective has shifted or galvanized by the end. Where does Bob stand on this subject definitively and what should our final takeaway be? Creating a slick intro/outro direct address to camera would round out the content variety quite well and center you as both the person who learns something and who teaches us something. Last comment is about the round table independent videos: fucking love these! You hosting a panel show (with built in games) is so perfectly in the pocket. Other comedians bring out your best laughs and challenge you in such wonderful ways. Please don’t stop releasing the extended cuts of these. I loved the curated “Big Question” edit but the roundtable hit the spot. standing o.

John Talley

Love the content! Structure instead of static and Make sure your graphics for youtube thumbnails are on point/more advanced

Angel

I lived for nappyheadedjojoba! Bring her on as a panelist! She was WOS. Bring out those real topics! Don’t keep it so light all the time

Briar Levit

Great concept for you, Bob! Gives you another kind of platform for your humor and the vox pop is perfect for you. Round table is fun too. It’s hard with the cross talk, but I have no idea how to avoid it. We get excited when we are chatting!

CeeXee

I don’t have much critique tbh because I love everything that y’all put out. But I will say for my ADHD brain. It was really nice to have the switch up of format. Great pacing.

Maureen

I agree with many of the comments. I love y’all and everything you do. 💕

Patrick Patterson

This is wonderful! If you can keep up the stand-up, person-on-the-street, and panel setup for each episode? Honestly, that’s wild. So much work, but so worth it!

Kismet

The music/ editing was a bit corny but I really loved the content! I really like Gaydar editing of on the street interviews, I feel like that style could benefit this series

Robbie

I love the man on the street bits, and the fits are on point

Akia Minnick

LOVED THE ROUNDTABLE SET UP! Keep the games coming I was playing from my living room!!! I loved the range of opinions different people make fruitful conversations. Maybe a topic then different style games (family feud, jeopardy, spin the bottle (if the bottle lands on you answer the question), four corners. You can make it fun and creative. I love the lightness in the conversation my favorite part about you and Monet is y’all just shooting the shit….its so organic. I’m struggling with thinking of topics 🤣🤣🤣 but maybe “Who is invited to the cookout?” 🤣 Game: Jeopardy Possible question: What is the main ingredient in the potato salad? 🤣

Ashley Noble

I truly loved the chaotic nature of the editing. It felt like we had to keep up w you and your storytelling and I liked that. It gave Billy (Eichner) On The Street but BETTER and BLACKER and we needed this!! All that’s missing is a random game or someone saying something crazy for a dollar 🤣 This was GOLDEN, keep going, you know we love everything you do.

Nicol

A combination of Man on the street and Roundtable discussion. However, both should include a broad range of participants, with different life experiences, (if possible) on both the street and panel. So the replies and follow-up questions/discussions have more depth. More opportunity to riff and create new jokes and laughs

AL (not the big one)

Personally, when it comes to the episode as presented, I have no notes. I would say if you want it to be click-baitable or old Buzzfeed adjacent, which it is definitely giving, I would say maybe shortening the cold open or adding a piece of comedic content before the cold open to pull the audience in (less than 10 seconds like a vine to tease the audience.) Other than consulting with ex-buzzfeed employees, in terms of editing, I can't really think of any other ideas in terms of adjusting the content. The video feels ready for a streaming service. It felt reminiscent of shows like Trigger Warning with Killer Mike, United Shades of America, or The Rehearsal. The only thought I have is maybe cutting some of the crowd work and using the clips as a form of marketing before posting. Personally I loved the video, but I do recognize long-form content can be a hard sell in our shortened attention spans. Sincerely yours, - a marketing student and beloved bob-ble head

I have some feedback on when discussing “black people”, you probably want to broaden your perspective to the afro-diaspora as a whole (and at times there maybe even similarities in continental African cultures). As a black but non-african american person (Afro-carribean & european) A LOT of the experiences universal for African-Americans are super relatable. This one too! But then for example when someone brought up the negro spiritual argument I figured that couldn’t have too much to do with it since in my culture we don’t really have that in the same intensity and yet your story about your family at xmas rejecting the musical would 100% also happen to me lol. That really is the only thing I can think of to give things a bit more nuance and make it more dimensional and even more interesting. I loveeeed it and the roundtable was SO entertaining. Much love! 🩷

Prince

The first episode was great! While I loved the variety, the only thing that I had any issue with was that it was slightly jarring to jump from segment to segment, but I don't know how to make that transition smoother? It could be just because I didn't know what the format of the series would be and now that I am familiar with it, it'll be less jarring.

Dale King Kong

Could be fun to do episodes that invite in Black creators with specialties/expertise in specific areas that you may be discussing on a broader scale during your episode. For instance, maybe have an episode about rock music and invite Sequoia Holmes from the podcast "Black People Love Paramore" to be a part of the round table. It could be nice to incorporate other established Black podcasters in the panel, so there could be a sort of crossover appeal to bring in their listeners and introduce those podcast hosts to us. I enjoyed this first episode a lot!

Jesse MacDonnell

I love all bob content but I did find the episode seemed a bit chaotic with how much it jumped around from segment to segment. But regardless I’ll be watching

drea p

i loved the episode bob! it was so well produced :) I actually enjoyed the bouncing around to different segments, kept me entertained. i agree with another person's comment that an ending/outro with your final thoughts would be a great way to tie up the video!

SA Hall

I liked it, as I do with all your things! If we are viewing it critically, I think it could have use more of a narrative arc, though. Like a beginning, middle, and *especially* an end. No shade I felt these were the less-strong aspects of your book as well. Maybe hire or consult with a story producer type person? You have so much creative genius, it could help to have someone to funnel all of the amazing chaotic creative output into something with a more impactful narrative package.

Jorge

The first video was fantastic. My only small suggestion would be that maybe a short segment interviewing an academic who studies the topic might help round things out. It was very cool to hear so many different individual Black perspectives on musicals, but it would've been awesome to get a couple minutes of insight from a professor of African-American history about a more overarching perspective.

Lisa Beanz

I need to know how to be on it, that's where I am.

Mariana Espinoza

I loved the show, the only thing that I would suggest is a clear ending. It felt like it was going to continue and suddenly there were credits so it kind of threw me

Marie Antoinette Williams

I love the first one. What a great question to start off with. My sister Moya is a Broadway/London musical star she was Effie in Dreamgirls when it revived and it was like pulling teeth to get our people in the fucking audiences. She also starred in “In Transit” the A Capella musical that was AMAZING. She is in the original cast. My Gawd and it was sooooooooo good.

IndoorGal

loved the first episode! excited for the others

Mx. Dee

I need more!!!!

CARRIE

late to the convo but ive been loooooooving the series. bringing in a mix of street interviews, monologue, and roundtable means u get a really thorough look of the chosen topic
