I hate checking because since my Nana passed in 2023 there's a VM she left me like a week before. I will check when certain numbers pop up but I hate checking because her VM ALWAYS plays and I'm never prepared for it

Yes all the time. I use it to mute people. I don’t want to be bothered with now but may need to deal with later. They’re not offended as they feel heard and I don’t have to be bothered listening to their bullshit if I don’t want to. Win win 😆

Yes, and I'd prefer it since I mostly screen my calls lol but yeah I also have the text transcription before I even listen. Also I leave voicemails lol It's like email for voice texting, and it's just something I loved from landlines lmao🫣🙈

My voicemail message used to say, “if I didn’t answer and you’re not texting instead, it’s probably because I don’t want to hear from you. I won’t check this so just text instead.” I’ve turned it off, but one in a hundred will be a doctors office or something that lives in the past and still does voicemail/fax etc.

I have lots of doctor and therapy appointments and they leave voicemails sometimes so I listen to those. My family and friends typically text if I don’t answer instead of leaving a vm

I have an android and screen all my calls so I get transcripts I can see in real time or they show the transcript under the missed call. No need to check the voicemail really
