I need yall to address the 'raceplay is hot' thing – I would not like to contribute to a place in which that seems to be the consensus

Yeah I have to be honest, I been seeing the tweets and it has me concerned. It would be good to see it addressed.

Anonymous

This raceplay is okay scandal is kinda a mess and honestly I don’t care if everybody involved consents some stuff is just not okay and we should not normalize it. Not gonna lie bob came out of this looking crazy but I’m a big fan and I hope she learns from this cause it’s willddd to be black and fighting so hard for white people to say the n word regardless of consent or not like really wild…. Like honestly kinda floored after hearing that twitter space. Fix it jesus wow

It's not that hard to understand... they say they thought that situation was kinda hot but at the same time they recognize it's problematic and wrong. People are complex and often contradictory. They don't owe you any explanations about it..... I wanna see you stand by what you believe and defend 100% of the time without ever caving in. Then you can throw your sticks and bones.

Lauren

Hol up now…. Who said race play is hot??? Need receipts

Anthony

Normalizing raceplay was not the focus of the initial thread on Twitter, that is what this has been turned into after people started calling out the original thread on Twitter for including Peppermint, misgendering Peppermint and also attaching Peppermint to someone she is not romantically attached to. So they grasped at straws and tried to paint Bob as normalizing raceplay by posting an out of context clip of Bob saying in the original episode of Sibling Rivalry ages ago that he has found the n word used during intimacy hot once or twice but also acknowledged how problematic it was and how it does not give carte blanche for people to go out and use that word. Re: the original thread on Twitter... We in the gay community have had to fight so we could love who we wanted to love and here we are, trying to rip people apart for loving who they love. Gay cannibalism at its finest.

Samantha Ayres

the way monet kept using hankering in the complete wrong context💀

This is a conversation between three black people, why are you writing paragraphs? And you dont know me from nowhere to be questioning if i stand by what I believe – I do, that why im here :) – a black queer man supporting BLACK queer art. I wanna make sure my money is going towards my beliefs, hence me asking a question of a service provider. Hope you go this hard for netflix and Hulu <3

No Bob doubled down on people being able to consensually engage in calling their black partner the n word and that makes 0 sense because there’s nothing consensual about racism. Everything is not okay just because two adults are doing it. We need to bring back SHAME Frfr.

Anthony
>>110754602

I listened to the whole Twitter space bob hosted and he did not double down. Not once did he say it was ok to say the n word to anyone. He pointed out that the clip was posted without context. Admittedly, he was defensive (but rightfully so) when he then pointed out that he and the partner he engaged in that behavior with were two consenting adults. That doesn't sound like doubling down to me but 🤷‍♂️. I personally wouldn't engage in that myself however I would be pissed if someone was trying to put my partner on blast and attack my loved ones and my character.

They never said it should be normalized. Right after they commented on a specific porn video being kind of hot they immediately said they would be fighting if someone did that to them and that they would never be ok with it.

R
>>110710875

Did you watch the full clip from years ago? They commented on a specific porn video being kind of hot but without skipping a beat immediately after said they would be fighting if someone did that to them and that it would never be ok with them.

i would suggest doing your own research. go find the twitter space and watch it. go back to the sibling rivalry and listen to that. you are taking in 2nd hand comments and asking for a response. do your research, get the receipts and ask about specifics.

No I also listened to the space as well and he literally said that it was okay if people were consenting adults doing in in the privacy of their homes which seems like doubling down on a ssituation were white ppl could get away with saying the n word and respectfully I disagree it’s toxic harmful behavior and consent doesn’t make it okay to call your partner the n word. It normalizing that behavior and if y’all break up now that person is out in the world traumatizing other black people by asking them for that because they had a partner that okayed it. I think it’s fair to question the character of someone who would advocate for that.

I'm sorry but people can do what they want in the privacy of their homes. The key words being in their home, it doesn't mean that whatever is done in the home should be done out the home and it doesn't mean whatever they do in their house is correct, not toxic, or anything like that. But everyone IS entitled to that privacy and honestly if another black person has their white partner saying the n word to them in their home, and that white person does not leave the house saying it, then it's none of my business. I think it's more a matter of personal discretion.

Rothman Reyes

Where can we find these specials that Bob is talking about? I would love support and purchase.

People CAN do what they want but it doesn't mean they should. Also if you live in surveillance police state America then nobody is entitled to the privacy of their homes and I mean that quite literally because the state can come in any time they want to as they've done in the past when surveilling black and queer people. And actually nobody is entitled to anything and that the problem is that y'all think y'all are. Everything takes work and effort so why do y'all claim to be anti-racist and pro-black but are comfortable engaging in anti-black and racist behaviors????? At a certain point we have be f-iing for real. Y'all be bending over backwards to justify all manner of tom foolery. also saying everyone is entitled to privacy in the age of the internet is a lil baffling like yeah it would be nice but come on obviously that not the case lmao. A lot of people live in extreme cognitive dissonance, i don't understand why people want to preach these ideals so loudly but not live by them. A lot of performative activists here.

Thanks for pointing out your blissful ignorance Devon. ✌️

@Honest, this is why I wish Twitter Spaces were re-playable. Because not once do I remember Bob saying it was OK but I'm not going to try and invalidate what you heard. I get both sides of the argument, raceplay is NOT ok but I think also what two consenting adults do in their bedroom, is up to them. It's a double edged sword. Like I said earlier, I would not engage in raceplay myself and I find it super cringey in pornos but I wouldn't go as far as saying Bob is anti-black for finding it sexy once or twice. I just don't think it's a measured response to call Bob anti-black for one slip up.

You look like a white Latino your opinion on this matter litterally does not matter.

Anonymous
>>110754602

At the end of the day obviously I cant stop anybody from doing anything but if you don't want to be called racist or anti black for engaging in "raceplay" then don't do it cause I'm gonna call out mess every-time and i dont care who said it. How are you not racist but you want to get off on calling black people a word that means their subhuman. BIG WERID.

Anthony
>>110754602

@honest i see civility isn't something you engage in. Your response is tired. 🥱🥱🥱

Montgomery McMahon
>>110754602

Why we need “civility” when talking about whether or not black people should be engaging in race play with massa in the bedroom?

Anthony
>>110754602

@Michael... Because we can and should discuss things like adults and not indulge in petulance but do you.

Montgomery McMahon
>>110754602

Wild watching a non-black person come in here and tone police how black people should be reacting to this but go off.
