What Nova was saying about vegetables is almost true! Fruits and vegetables are different! Fruits are the reproductive parts- hence why the come out from the flower of a plant. Vegetables are more interesting actually! Basically the word ‘vegetable’ isn’t a botanical term, it’s not a scientific term even, it’s all pretty much for selling! Vegetables are all just modified parts of plants- for example carrots are modified taproots that store nutrients for the plant, and most of an onion are the modified leaves of the plant. So the term vegetable was used for selling purposes, so that fruits could be sold and marketed differently to vegetables.

Beaches in the States: Hot messes most of the time. I don't understand that level of privilege...not having to clean up after yourself. I'll add I live in the Bible Belt. MAAAAANY "Christians" here state they don't worry about litter or recycling because Jesus will come back well before we have to worry about stuff like that. Sigh.
