In preparation for this (after listening to the preview on the pod), I raced to Google to take this test. I'm hoping neither of you got more than 13 otherwise I'm going to look a right tit....

Not bad for South African and Aussie birds x

Sam_7_L

As if the test covers pop culture imagine trying to build a life for yourself in a distant land and you get turned away because you dont know who cheryl Cole is

Murph

This inspired me to take the US citizenship test and turns out they've just changed to to all opened ended questions! Horrific.

Lee.B

Where were the entertainment questions?

Lee.B

You should try the American one now we're allowed to apply to become citizens

Delenn Irving

Of course, it's not really about making sure the person trying to become a citizen is well-informed, even though that's the conceit and the law in many countries. In practice, it's really just a barrier, another hurdle someone has to jump through that even born citizens likely wouldn't pass, so it's all nonsense anyway.

Nova as a gremlin gnome with a banjo made me cry for about 2 minutes. where tf is that reference from?!

Me: “Oh hey it might be time for my birthday shoutout. Watch it be an Enya or a Buffy reference.” Me at the end of the video: “Son of a bitch.”

Good evening Europe, this is Poland 🇵🇱 speaking! We celebrate Christmas Eve on December 24th, we're not that mad to have it earlier. What's different is that it's the most important day of the three, and only recently it has become a bank holiday, earlier the whole country pretended it's working to like 1 pm. I will never forget going to buy bread as a child/teenager on that day and standing in those ridiculous queues. So yeah, 25th & 26th don't have such high expectations around them as 24th that you should be with your family, those are the days to visit someone more distant like an uncle or a friend. Should I mention that during communism (post war, up to 1989) many people in this country would turn their bathtubs into fishtanks for carps (fishes) week or two before Christmas?! I've never experienced it, I'm not that old, but like 10 years ago, there were still campaigns to convince the most stubborn people to stop doing that.

Love the question about living free from discrimination 🏳️‍⚧️

Desperately disappointed that the test doesn’t seem to require a knowledge of Philomena Cunk quotes.
