Spent all of yesterday tweaking the sub and lowend on this Y2K rave inspired track!

Like I did for "The Good Stuff", I opted to let the pulsing of the kicks dominate the sub frequency range as opposed to the 808 (except for 1:08! and onwards! I felt like the LEGATO sub worked best there uwu)

Shout outs to this video for helping me REEVALUATE my engineering decisions! It's inspired me to be a lot more careful with this frequency range! Less is very much more in a lot of situations!

I also slightlyyy high passed the whole master at 1:49! I love that pounding sin bass line but felt like it was a little bit over bearing! I used to be very worried about messing with the fundamental frequency on sub bass but realized a lot of my favorite songs do it!

For Example, We Go On by The Avalanches has a ton of low frequency sounds (a kick, a round bass synth and a sin bass~) The only sub sounds that seems to come through are some of the notes of that sin bass and kick! The root note is actually high passed but still feels mega impactful and clean~

Oh, I also trimmed the outro a bit so it flows faster!

I'm mega excited with how it sounds and think it's done tbh <3

My current release plans are maybe putting this out for NEXT Bandcamp Friday and the whole Only Fans EP for the next Bandcamp Friday after that!
