Seidou with injuries man lol they NEVER catch a break. Yes Tanba had an injury too and Chris was the one who caught it. Chris wasnt going to let Tanbas injury pass by and he convinced him to get it checked early enough that they could help him and he was able to make a recovery and come back to the game during his high school years. Nori breaks my heart but it's SO brilliant to discuss the way players like Miyuki, who are geniuses and prodigies with the most chance of going pro, dont see that its not an option for everyone. Its such a jarring realization that some amazing players just never get to that level. Its also so satisfying to see Sawamura thinking so much. We've always known he had it and hes gotten way better from his first year, but hes actually so smart. I wish that slider was more controllable lol it would be deadly.

Kawakami has had some moments but this one really got me. I also agree about seeing Eijun actually show why he earned that 1 on his back. I’m proud of all the thinking and work he’s putting in even after he achieved one of his main goals.

I never read the manga, because similar to you If I read a manga I tend not to see the anime, so this caught me off guard. Kawakami was always that player around with a spot, but he's always seem to be on the lower end of talent looking at the full 20 man. I like that they actual brought a situation like this, because you do have in real life players that know their celling, but will give their all to the end because they committed to being here.

Exactly! This is just another reason added to the list of why this is my favorite sports anime. It just feels realistic in the situations that it showcases.

I love this anime so much 😭. The growth in Eijun continues! The fact that Furuya pointed out the tendency who also tried to hide an injury last season and Tanba who also had the injury and got saved by Chris having him avoid the same fate of being out and recovering for long term came full circle that they notice this and want to at least get it checked out and have options. Kawasaki hits hard because they already stated his importance in the team in the pitching rotation and it’s because of him that Eijun and Furuya get to play as hard as they do because he’ll be warming up the whole game ready to come in at any minute to help close the game for his juniors and his team so you can’t ignore his conviction and his resolve with him knowing his role and not wanting any regrets of his absence causes them not making nationals and on top of that he ends his baseball career at the high school level so he see nothing to lose here besides his health of his arm 😭😭

Laxzone

Yeah all of this really did come full circle. I respect Kawakami for trying to not only tough it because he’d rather go out fighting than not at all but for also understanding and being okay with his baseball career ending after high school. That’s a tough pill to swallow for most.

I dont think Kawakami was trying to hide the injury at first he just didnt realise it was actually an injury. He kind of got lucky that Tanba was there because had it just been Furuya he wouldnt have pushed it. Also sheesh that shock on Miyuki face he definitely realising how different baseball is to other players. For a lot, this is it. There is no more. Also can we talking about Koshou constantly fighting with Miyuki to catch for Eijun? We really came full circle XD

Laxzone

Yeah there’s been a lot of Eijun and Koshu moments already this season. His little remarks at Eijun are hilarious since he has such a dry sense of humor.
