I think I would agree that Eijun is pitching the better game, but thats not to discredit Kosei. Besides the fact that Eijun's individual pitches are very good, he is also pitching extremely efficiently, which does a few things. First, since Kawakami cant pitch, by getting through innings quick and clean he makes it so he can pitch longer, and the best ability is availability. Another thing it does is it continually puts pressure on Icidai and Kosei. Eijun finishing an entire inning in 5-10 minutes can go unnoticed but having to basically be constantly on defense (or pitching in Kosei's case) tires you out and can prevent you from getting into the zone at the plate.

Yeah definitely don’t want to downplay how well Kosei is playing. You put it perfectly that Eijun has been very efficient with his time on the plate and in this game of which pitcher’s stamina will hold out I think might have to give it to Eijun.

I need that Kosei OST that was playing during his moment this episode. Eijun is pitching the better the game, but I will also say Seido is the better lineup so it's tad bit more difficult for Kosei. The top four in this division is just scary. While I like Sanada he is definitely in a tier lower than Eijun and Kosei at this point. I do think Mei is in another tier with Hongo. All four teams have star lineups, I just think Seido has the best lineup overall.

Yeah Kosei handling these Seido demons really well. If the squad start getting hot he’s going to really feel that pressure especially if Mochi ever makes it back on base. I wish I got to see more of Hongo but I agree Mei is always a problem.

Yeah Eijun been keeping the boys in this game. Real ace energy right now. I agree Kosei pitching a mean game and the rest of his time snagging everything.

I disagree on the Sanada point. Remember that he was in a pitcher duel with Kosei WHILE injured, as well as it being broken during an error and not him pitching poorly. That is insanely impressive and overlooked. Sanada is overlooked a lot in this series tbh lol

Im late on these reactions, just now catching up. Just want to point out that Seido was not batting poorly at all. Kosei is just THAT good. If we ignore the errors we made on defense, the game would still be 0-0. Doesnt mean either team are bad at batting, the pitchers are just really stinking good!

Sanada is really good. My reason for having him lower is due to his pitch repertoire and his overall endurance issues. I have him with Furuya. My tiers aren't drastically apart, but I tried to consider where they are currently and how I think they would perform against other schools. Sanada has one of the best mentalities in the series which I love and overall DNA has a lot of good underrated players in comparison to other sports anime.
