Julius was jacked up because Subaru was the only one out of them that remembered him after losing his name. This was a tough episode

Laxzone

He’s had it rough this season

I think it's interesting when you say that you're surprised at how well Subaru is handling it at first. I personally took it as the same Subaru from episode 1- BEFORE he experienced Return By Death. and only after the first/second death, that he basically turns into season 1 Subaru again. (edit: you realized the exact same thing after the ep lolol let me eat my words) to me he always seemed like the type to enjoy this kind of isekai nonsense (without strings attached like dying repeatedly ofc), as an "escape" from the real world where he was depressed in, but he sadly found out about that dying part pretty quick. it seems like he'll have to start from 0 again. i'm so weirded out and confused as to where we go from here. we have SO much to do already mannnnn

Laxzone

You’re completely right about Subaru. I think it was more of me still being so thrown off about this situation.

I think Julius' face is due to the fact that Subaru was the last person alive that knew who he was, and by subaru losing his memory he now truly has been forgotten. So its a little bit of a hit to him
