Im excited, I willl admit the OP is odd in early season episodes but please don't drop it lol

Laxzone

I usually vibe with any OP so I’m sure it’ll be fine for me at least.

Gage Laurence

Sorry lol I said OP but I meant to say the main character lol. He matures as a character later in the series

Ultima

The universe of this anime is so damn good, the main character is scum and while he gets better and you see real character development from him, to this day he still creeps me out at times. He has some unforgivable flaws but also an incredible development; the writing in this show is amazing. One of the best episodes to date is literally 2 characters talking in a room which says a lot considering how good the animation and fights are, the writing, character dynamics, and emotional beats are the real draw, not just the magic and animation. You're not supposed to like the MC but you can appreciate his development and the world around it while acknowledging his unredeemable flaws. The author deliberately wrote him to start at absolute rock bottom not just down on his luck, but morally repulsive so he has a very realistic messy character growth hence why this anime is so polarizing. I hope you can appreciate it, there's things you won't like and it's normal, you're not supposed to like those things. It's a really good show and it only gets better, hope you won't drop it :)

Good thing the MC in a series is rarely my favorite lol. I enjoyed the first episode so far and curious to see how this story plays out.

I’m pretty sure most Isekai MCs remember their past life. Subaru from Re zero and Kazuma from Konosuba being my main examples

Yessss lfg bro. The worldbuilding and action in this show is second to none honestly for isekai. Overall, I would even say I would put MT above Re:Zero. Yes I’m glazing and idgaf 😭

Overall I like this show a lot, I do think people are taking the Rudy hate a bit to serious. Hope you like the show!

Been meaning to re-sub to catch up on some sports anime reactions, but seeing you pick up Mushoku right when I was going to start that is just perfect timing! Easily one of my favorite animes/stories of all time, so I hope you can see it for more than its darker and more awkward parts to see (in my opinion) one of the best fantasy and world building isekai stories out there!
