Some Random things! (Patreon)

I've been working on various WIPs in between commissions, and I thought I would share them here first. 

The header is of Jack, and for the longest time I couldn't figure him out. He becomes 'The Yellow-Fevered Baron' near the beginning of the story, but I kept drawing a blank on what that was supposed to look like, and it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I finally realized the problem. 

In my head, Jack was always meant to be in the group that goes on to fight the diseases scattered all over Mourning. His over the top personality would bring more humor to an otherwise dire situation, and his close friendship with Theo would give the undertaker another reason to join the fray (he's the reluctant hero)

So Jack is now a *mostly* fully functioning zombie. I literally wrote 'needs to be embalmed occasionally' in his notes. 😂 He isn't fancily adorned like the other diseases will be either, because none of it felt right on him. His gold roses are probably going to be silver too, since yellow fever causes jaundice, and that is way too many warm tones for me to balance. Who knows though! With a little practice, maybe I can get it to work.

I also started this line-up of the official group, more for my own reference than anything else, since I wanted to see them together and nail down their color palettes. The ones on the edges are just placeholders for now to make sure I get their heights correct.

Even if it's messy at this point, it makes me really happy to see them all together.

I attached a few extra things to the bottom of the post for anyone that's interested! The first is a cropped video of those hands I did in procreate last month. The other is the full-size of the mask maker and the ghost from my Uraomote project that I posted on twitter a few days ago!
