I  was feeling nostalgic the other day and came up with these characters. I grew up in the 90s and still listen to grunge music, so I wanted to do something that reminded me of that time. I'm not 100% on their names or faces yet, as some of them look too similar to the people I based them on.

Barely a week after I made them I found out my best friend from back then had passed away, and I have to wonder if it was her way of saying goodbye. This isn't a story I would usually come up with, and I'm not a very nostalgic person, but she was the reason why I listened to grunge. Music was a really important part of our friendship too, so these characters mean a lot more to me now.

I'll miss you, Tina.

I'm sorry for your lost, love. I hope we see more of these 90s kids because I'm already invested.

Sorry about Tina. I think they are wonderful characters too and love the idea of a mystery.

The words “No coincidences” have become a motto of mine in the past six months. As I have started to look at things that happen in my day to day less as unorganized chaos and more spiritually guided I have found a sort of beauty in these connections that seem to happen coincidentally. As always thank you for sharing a little bit of yourself in both your art and the heartfelt commentary that follows. I really appreciate this cast of characters and the contrast from this to your other work!
