Film Study: In the Mood for Love (Patreon)

Creating paintings that look like shots from film and television has always been something I've wanted to be able to do. I thought I would start with a few studies here and there to work towards that goal for my own stories.I was drawn to this particular shot because of the jade teacup and the floral pattern on her cheongsam. I tried to be more patient with the details for this than I usually am, but I admit I rushed a few of the flowers by the end. I still really like how it came though!
