A pair of TV studies (slightly nsfw) (Patreon)

I have to admit that both of these were pretty difficult for me, and I ended up rushing them out of frustration. 

The one above is from The Knick. While I love the subject matter (the character had syphilis and was considering surgery for her nose) I found the background and clothing harder to paint. I'm still learning how to transition colors in areas where there is a lot or too little contrast. I do really like how her face turned out, though!

This shot is from a favorite show of mine, Our Flag Means Death. I chose it for the kiss, but the lighting was neutral, with no intense colors or shadows. Definitely not a strength of mine, so I'll have to keep practicing! I like how the faces turned out again, and the hair, which I had no idea how to do at first.
