update on the luna render (+ a super quick poll regarding something in the next animation)
- A (Edited Textures) 78
- B (Original Textures) 99
hey so just to give you guys a little status update on the luna render (don't worry, it isn't bad news LMAO). i started it at 8PM last night and it's currently about 510/1400 frames done (which is about what i expected). oddly enough, depending on the camera angle the render time per frame can go from taking 45-ish seconds per frame (which is stupendous) to a minute and 45 seconds (which is horrendous). though it seems like most of the hardware-intensive frames have been rendered since the last dozen or so have been leaning closer to that ~45 second rendering time.
having glanced at a handful of the finished frames, nothing seems to look out of place, thankfully. but if by some sick twist of fate there are any problems that would require a full re-render to fix, i'll try and figure out if there is any way i can expedite the process (though i'd very much prefer not having to re-render it at all, so here's hoping that won't be necessary). here's a look at the rendered scene:
given that this'll be rendering for probably another day straight, i'm gonna get started on making a concept for the next animation (loona, funnily enough) and finishing up the audio for the deathclaw skit (which i have since recorded my voicelines for)
and regarding the next animation - i just wanted to get your guys' input on something. it's not hyper-important, but i did some slight edits to the body textures to keep things consistent with the last two animations of loona. but honestly, i can't make up my mind if i wanna go with the edited textures (A) or the original (B), so i just wanted to see which of the two you guys think would be better to use
i'll run this poll for a few hours (about 4) just to get a general consensus on the matter (voting weight won't be applied since, again, it's nothing too major). it's only a few clicks to switch the textures back and forth, so i'll still be working on a concept in the meantime.EDIT: alright, poll's wrapped up - thanks for the input! i'll stick with the original textures
anyways, assuming it continues going smoothly, i should have this animation finished up rendering by tomorrow and ready to share with you guys before the end of the day. appreciate the patience as always! i'm lookin forward to sharing the finished product as soon as it's ready :] have a good one
