UPDATE (6/19): 1 addition (futa version - removed the POV one because it needs a lot of cleanup - may return to do that in the future), 1 fix (the black frame around the 14 second mark - turns out it was a corrupted frame due to a random power surge in the middle of the night when it was rendering)
here's an original joke title that im sure nobody else has ever used
i had to do a second render of this due to the first render making the ripple WAY stronger than intended. knowing for sure that it wasn't right, i went back to figure out what was causing that and managed to clean it up - which has actually helped me determine what likely went wrong with the ripple effect in the 2b animation.
it wasn't so much that i did it poorly (as, in hindsight, i would have absolutely noticed if it was that strong while animating it) - but that when subdivision was applied in the render (as i keep it disabled in the viewport for the sake of performance), the dramatic increase in vertices led to the ripple effect being WAY stronger than intended.
another thing i've learned is that when importing my animations into premiere as an image sequence, very often it'll end up duplicating frames if the speed of said sequence is adjusted at all, which would lead to an unintentional stutter at certain points (which probably isn't the MOST noticeable thing in the world. but still can be a bit annoying). while this new method may shave like 2-3 seconds off the length of the video, it does help it feel a fair bit more smooth.feel like i should've realized this MUCH sooner but oh well, another day another neat trick
as for the skit, all of the VA is prepared this time before starting the actual animation side of things, so that will certainly help the production process. i don't have any previews quite yet (as i'm thinking that i may decide to use that skit audio for this animation rather than the older one). but either way, i'll try to have a few screencaps by the next WIP post.
in the meantime, hope you guys enjoy the final product :] thanks as always for the downright insane amounts of support, wish i could thank each and every one of you individually. i'll be back in a few days with the next concept along with any other updates i have by then. have a good one
