its def complicated because they are truly soulmates at the heart of it, but their friendship is a more important aspect of their relationship than any romantic feelings they develop. like, they are friends first and they are in love, but its not romantic for a while. but they are also deeply involved in each other. and co dependent. borderline a little toxic but not in a bad way. absolutely two best friends who would kill for each other.
