Shanks never gave luffy the fruit. Luffy just ate it or if anything they mention the zoan fruits have a will of their own and it probably chose him. But shanks NEVER gave him the fruit. And the hat Roger and them have isn’t or at least not confirmed to be the same hat as joy boy. Could be but it wasn’t shown this ep and hasn’t been said to be. Jerry and pat are saying it like facts and don’t want them to be misinformed

this was amazing informational and had great animation. One theory i have is about nika and joyboy, I don't know if yall heard but this ep confirmed joyboy wasn't a giant as this was his first physical appearance, their was a lot of theories about that. I believe the giant hat belonged to nika the sun god since he was worshipped by the giants in elbalf. It only seems fit that if more people knew this god was real itll change the world and they hid everything about him. I also believe the only reason they still have it is because they cant destroy it or it holds snetimental value/ego boost to Imu

Moral of the story yall glaze the flashback as the only good part because it’s straight fights, character upscale(especially our goats of the past) + more lore. When in reality you get that throughout the arc, it’s just not as condensed because you don’t have to fit it into a flashback that can only be so many chapters.

who is yall? that flashback was terrible rogers character is in the dirt he became a cuck simp whitebeard went against his death scene of never turning his back in retreat his entire pirate life (before you say he didnt get marked so it isnt character assassination, thats not the point it was a metaphorical term because in the same arc when wb gets stabbed by squard you see the sword impaling the back of whitebeard the whole point of never turning your back was to show that he never turned his back when confronted) big mom even though she was the same hunger pang freak as a baby and as a grown women in WCI and wano suddenly becomes this chill laid back wise person during god valley garling was hyped up just to be off screened while jumping a man rocks death scene was the worst death scene in all of one piece history sengoku was rendered as fodder with the narrator saying all the strongest were on the island imu apparently can take over saturn which renders all of egghead as stupid as shit because instead of saying "saturn why did you let joyboy escape" it becomes why the fuck didnt you take over his body and stop joyboy super anticlimactic no actually memorable moments on god valley except retcons and character assassination kaido in wano didnt disagree with big mom saying she gave him a favor yet we clearly see he stole that devil fruit so much stupid stuff in that flashback. Not to mention the character assassination of whitebeard not believing something was wrong with rocks and thinking he just betrayed them that is not the whitebeard i know when whitebeard was presented with betrayal like with squard he said what did they do to manipulate you my son i know you wouldnt do this for no reason where did that whitebeard go? the answer is he went into the trash just like all other characters presented in this arc its actually crazy how dogshit elbaf is also this is just a rant on the top of my mind if i truly wanted to list everything wrong with god valley without even touching the rest of elbaf this post would never end

I just watched this episode dubbed and i could be wrong but I think funimation got the 4 kids voice actor of Luffy to voice Joy Boy, making it even more perfect having the first pirate voiced by the first Luffy!
