idk. i don’t feel like this season (or volume) is “trash” per say, but it’s definitely the worst off from the series. so, i guess there’s something to be said about that. there does seem to be a large amount of people not rocking with it, though - for a multitude of reasons. i have little nitpicks of my own, but i feel like people are really overdoing it.

With Netflix’s acquisition of hbo, I am scared for shows like welcome to Derry s2, if this is what Netflix is doing with a budget of $500m for this season. This is budget bigger than the greatest movies and they can’t get it right.

The only criticism I have is how like every 30 min a character has a “say that again?” Moment and they somehow are able to crack layers of plot through the most random sequences. I personally think Will’s coming out scene isn’t out of place whatsoever, and I think more so that people who are straight genuinely have no understanding what it feels like to be Will (coming from someone who’s straight presenting but isn’t heterosexual) 1. They’re all attempting a suicide mission basically, you’d think that the last thing you want your friends and loved ones to know about you is who you really are considering he’s been battling with this with years and 2. Again as someone who genuinely understands this perspective, it’s important to who he is as an individual that also ties in to his performance as a player in the game plan. Yes it’s all on him if he gets in his head, but wouldn’t you rather everyone be clear headed and get something off their chest prior than to needlessly be off their game in literally the biggest moment that matters most? I’ll reiterate, I sincerely think if you believe that scene was out of place or unnecessary, you quite simply have no experience understanding what it’s like to be in that position. I certainly believed it felt right and was necessary in every way possible. But I digress, the plot lines felt rushed and executed in a way that felt inorganic and that’s my only complaint, however a big one. I sure hope the series finale is paced properly

Agreed. A trend I've noticed is the guys feeling like child characters in film/tv should have the same reactions as adults - and have the same physical capabilities. In this episode, even if the other children did realize their situation, what could they do about it without outside help?

It’s funny too bc Will coming out had nothing to do with romance and everything to do with living his truth…which is like probably where you should be if you’re going up against an enemy that preys on your insecurities and traumas

i agree. if the plot of a show feels rushed but the runtime feels long know something is wrong with the script. they didn't use their time correctly with focusing so much on everyone's romance and will being gay when they could have gave us more with Vecna's ploy, El and hopper's escape, and the Doctor's character. No one cares about Robin's stuff or Nancy, the only relationship that matters the plot is Lucas and Max. Getting her back after the ending of season 4 had emotion weight and matter to the story because she was with Mike's sister the whole time. Also, that portal thing with Max was so annoying, RUNNN hoe.

Didn’t hate this episode as much as the internet does This is clearly setting up the series finale There’s stuff I didn’t rock with but overall Vol 2 was cool The Finale is 2 hours long a lot of stuff will happen and will make these short comings worth while in the end
