Overall good show. Personally I would say a solid 7 or 8 out of 10. Ep 7 big secret about will was questionable thought it was something bigger or like someone could’ve died lol and the ending could’ve been better. Especially for Mike and el not getting their ending after all that

Personally I didn’t like the season at all but the closing of the finale was good I feel like they didn’t close out on a lot of stuff like where were the demogorgons/demobats/demodogs, the military just let them go after them killing mad people, wills connected to hivemind why didn’t he die with vecna if he feels his emotions and pain, why didn’t Joyce say anything about her knowing Henry, the mindflayer is supposed to be the main villain but got beat in like 5 minutes.

I observed numerous comparisons to Stephen King's works, particularly regarding the presence of a large arachnid. Vecna's abilities, involving shapeshifting and mental manipulation, resonated with the narrative, and the portrayal of the teenagers' camaraderie post-events reminded me of the "Losers' Club." I found the finale highly engaging. A compelling comparison was made on X to "Lord of the Rings," which further enhanced my appreciation. While some desired a "Game of Thrones"-esque conclusion, the series has consistently aligned more with "Lord of the Rings," and I find myself drawing parallels between Eleven and the One Ring, as her removal was crucial for resolution. Another comparison likened her to The Terminator. Personally, to heighten the stakes, I might have considered eliminating a character from the main group, perhaps Steve or the science teacher, among the older cast members. Nevertheless, I am thoroughly content with the provided ending.

i haven’t watched this reaction yet, so i haven’t had a rewatch, but … idk. first watch, i had mixed feelings about it. i think they did el and mike dusty ! i didn’t like their endings, especially el’s. i also just feel like the big fight - outside of the final swinging moment, didn’t really do much for me. 😭 idk, i’m kinda disappointed. it felt a little soulless and empty in some ways, which lead me to feel like i enjoyed the wrapping up of the characters more than what was actually going on for most of the episode, which i’m supposed to enjoy anyway but. edit: okay, rewatch made me enjoy it wayyy more. i still think they did el wrong. she deserved to live happily with her father and friends. i *want* to believe she’s alive, but i think it could’ve just been mike coping after his conversation with hopper in order to begin to accept his and el’s fates. even if it is true that she’s out there, she’s on the run without comfort of the loved ones who understand her. that’s fucked up. 😔

wait, true. but then again there is the legitimate question of how she was able to pull mike into her mind (something she usually does blindfolded / submerged in water) and stand firm as if blaring kryptonite isn’t ringing in her ears. she should’ve definitely been physically weakened by it, but from what we saw, she wasn’t. there’s inconsistencies, which probably were purposeful to truly drive home the dead or alive thing. like they’re genuinely making it up for your interpretation. also, we’re seeing the explosion at a much slower rate than it’s occurring lol.

wasn't the explosion just on the roof? If you are talking about the blue wave, then that only took out the protective wall from that dead space area that eventually destroys everything.

Another thing to note about Eleven possibly getting away is that her nose didn't bleed when she used her power to talk to mike for the last time. I really do think Kali casted a illusion and allowed Eleven to talk to Mike before she left, similar to how Eleven and Kali talked to Max earlier in the episode. Also when Kali "died" we see it from Hoppers perspective, meaning HE saw her die, not ELEVEN. AKA she used her illusion to make it look like she died to Hopper.
