The mad king is two gens ahead of this storyline so even the father of the mad king hasn't even been born yet. I wont say who but one of the sons are the grandfather to the mad king. And Rob is right about the Blackfyre rebellion but the song mentioned Daemon bc a Targaryen named a Blackfyre after Daemon from HOTD. So technically the song doesn't mean HOTD Daemon, its Daemon Blackfyre from the past. And the dark haired hand of the king is Aerion's uncle and the dark hair cousin is Baelor's son. Maekar is the white hair prince and he wasnt here this episode because he went to go find his missing sons.

Keep in mind that there could be plenty of reasons why people would rejoice in someone's passing and it doesn't always have to be in a negative connotation. That's the tricky part about fortune tellers, their words could have multiple meanings. The creator of this show gave an interview and said he plans to have this show go on to show Egg's entire life so all questions will indeed be answered. Also The Dance of Dragons is one of the biggest events in Westeros history so it makes sense that they would choose to do a show about that first, the problem is the stupid creator of HOTD decided to write his own fan fiction instead of staying true to the source material and that pissed a lot of people off, Including GRRM. That's also why this show feels like a breath of fresh air.

I really love this series lmaoo, So Egg is Aegon like we thought, then i feel like that Fortune he was told wasn’t about him, it was about his grandson the mad king ofc, bc they are the same blood, the lady may have had a vision about the mad king bc egg is his grand father, but obviously he’s not born yet so she assumed it was egg. I loved the way they strung that, personally i was already convinced when Egg told us his name, and i remember Maester Aemon before he was dying calling out for “egg” so

pretty sure they’ve said who the mad king kinda blood line a few times in GOT so it’s no a spoiler on who the mad king’s grandfather is, but you could also piece it together with the fortune that lady told to egg, it was meant for someone in his bloodline, not him but idk if the lady would know that who’s saying the fortune

coming back to this again and Robb was very correct Before the Mad King, EVERY major Civil War under Targaryen kingship involving multiple houses, was simply between one Targaryen and another The Princes War between Maegor and Aegon the Uncrowned, the Dance of the Dragons between Aegon and Rhaenyra, the Blackfyre Rebellions between Daeron and Daemon and successors Roberts War against the mad king was the only civil war where there was genuine wish for Targaryen kingship to be ended forever. It had nothing to do with the earlier dynasts, just Aerys himself
