Maekar is Aerion Father not Grandfather. And Maekar and Baelor are brothers

Guys that's Egg's, Daeron's, and Maester Aemon's and Aerion's FATHER not grandfather. Their dad (Prince Maekar) and Baelor are brothers.

Just to clarify the family tree. Baelor is the hand of the King and next in line to the Throne. Maekar is his brother. Maekar has four sons. 1-Daeron the Drunk, 2-Aerion Brightflame, 3-Aemon(Maester Aemon), 4-Aegon(Egg).

Something you missed but isn't a spoiler. Maekar(the Targaryen with the blonde beard) isn't Aerion's grandfather. He's Daeron, Aerion, Maester Aemon and Egg's father. Maekar is Baelor's younger brother.

The King at this time has not been shown in the show. He is still in King's Landing. His name is King Daeron the Good. The two oldest Targaryens that we have seen so far are Baelor, the heir to the Iron Throne and the hand of the King and his youngest brother Prince Maekar, who is Egg, Aerion and Daeron's father, and yes pretty much all of Aerion's family cannot stand him, lol.

I'm with you Evan, I love that there are a few characters in the GOT universe with foretelling/prophecy, such as Daeron who is a drunk but is a dreamer like some Targaryen's are, like Viserys in HOTD

Yeah in college, patchface was like a sage who was close with Shireen, Stannis’s daughter. Davos in the show basically took on that bond/relationship with her and they removed pathface probably because it would not look good on screen having a freak accompany a child

Daeron (the drunk), Aerion (the jerk), and Aegon (Egg) are all the sons of Maekar Targaryen (white hair/beard). Maekar is the brother of Baelor Targaryen (darker hair/different color eyes), who is the hand of the king and known is the greatest knight in the realm. Baelor and Maekar are famous for saving the king and the realm during the Blackfyre Rebellion and are the sons of King Daeron "The Good".

Spoilerish I guess or more like a theory (personally that I think is true) but I don’t think Ser Arlyn knighted Dunk. It’s all based off his word, no one witnessed the knighting (except for a robin per Dunk). It’s Dunks word against anyone else’s. The reason I believe this theory is because he didn’t knight Raymun Fossoway - any knight can make a knight. He didn’t knight him because he isn’t a knight. However, just because he might not have been knighted, doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve it. He acts more like a knight than many of the people we’ve seen. He’s a better knight than most of the Noble knights we’ve seen on the show (cough Steffon cough). I’ve also seen that maybe dunk was knighted but because it was by Ser Arlyn right before his death, he may not have remembered the full oath so dunk didn’t know the words to say when knighting Raymun. My first watch through, I thought the same thing - that dunk didn’t want to drag Raymun into his mess and possibly get him killed. But the not being knighted theory was more plausible

i can def see both theories, Him not actually being a knight all along would be interesting but also reflect back on when he called egg a liar for not telling him the truth, Personally i feel like its the other theory, where he was knighted, but like u said he prolly didnt know how to properly do it but also not wanting Ser Arlyn to die for him, but at that point the Baratheon took it upon himself and acknowledging Ser Arlyns bravery, im def curious on if either of these is true
