Does Evan have a background in medicine or something? I'm surprised he knew what a DNR is and what an EKG is.

Rocky Kliff

Evan was actually spot on

Josh Hargrave

I think it is personal with Jimmy tho. A lot of this is rooted from their childhood.

Gus

it's common knowledge

Rocky Kliff

Sheeesh I’m not gonna spoil nothing but you’ll guys will find out in season 3 that Chuck’s reason for hating Jimmy is long before his love of the law and long before slipping Jimmy. But yeah, Evan got it tho

RT TV

We already shot up to season 4 🤐

Man when Evan broke down chuck’s insecurities so well and Ya’ll just shut him down that hurt 😭. Yes it’s true chuck is trying to do the right thing but he’s 100% personally drived w jimmy

RT TV

Yes Evan was right !

chuck wasn’t “slipping chuck”, chuck knows the law, that’s one thing i trust about him, and f chuck recorded jimmy without his consent, he knows he’s allowed too

aScattaBrain

aScattaBrain

it’s def not that common of knowledge, but if you watch a lot of shows and movies you’ve probably heard it before

This episode was what broke my favor for Chuck, especially the hospital scene becuase it highlights the fundamental tragedy of the McGill brothers' relationship. Throughout the show, Chuck prides himself on being a man of "the law" and absolute truth. Yet, in this deeply personal moment, he chooses to lie. When she finally woke up and only called for "Jimmy," it confirmed Chuck’s deepest insecurity: that despite his success and "goodness," his parents always loved the "screw-up" brother more. When Chuck lied to Jimmy by withholding those words, Chuck robbed Jimmy of a vital piece of his own history and a moment of genuine connection with his mother. I love this show.

BT

Indeed, he's been my favorite these last few episodes for his hatred of Chuck. lol

Did you notice that after Jimmy’s ad aired, the screen briefly displayed the word "weasel"? It feels like another subtle jab from the show’s creators - a quiet but pointed commentary on Jimmy’s character.

Chuck is perfectly within the law every time but that does not make him morally correct or a good person. The show is trying to challenge us on this. Take Jimmy's stunt he did with the sandpiper residents - hundreds wouldn't have representation in getting ripped off and the only way it was made possible was through unlawful means. Meanwhile, Chuck blackballed Jimmy not once but twice, all while not telling Jimmy the truth and making Howard hold all the blame TWICE.
