I think the point where Howard messed up at was the meeting they had at HHM. Right when Howard saw the judge and feeling off he should've just told Cliff or somebody "Hey I don't know what it is but I'm really not feeling well. You guys can continue the meeting without." It's either that or try to keep a cool head during that meeting. Cuz he should've known that him bugging out would play into Jimmy's and Kim's plan. I also probably wouldn't have went to their house if it was me. However I do still feel bad for him lol.

I’m here for the Rob contrarian takes sometimes but the Howard one was just forced and annoying. The chances for him going to their house the same time as a sociopathic cartel leader are extraordinarily slim so saying Howard is “dumb” for it just doesn’t make sense. Might as just say anyone that walks outside and gets struck by lightning is dumb for walking outside.

If Rob had been in Howard's shoes, knowing his temperament, the bowling balls incident would've been the beginning. He would've called the cops, stormed over to Kim's apartment, gone on a full-blown rant while threatening Jimmy and Kim, gotten himself arrested that very night, lost his firm, his friends, his marriage, and his money, endured a lengthy court case, and ultimately been acquitted by reason of insanity.

I mostly recall the actors who play Howard, Saul, and Kim mentioning they weren't aware of Howard's death until late in production. Like, on the day of filming and during all the table readings, it was a different outcome, and they only found out on the day of shooting. I might be mistaken, but I remember hearing it was on the day of shooting that they discovered it, which is why their reaction is so authentic because they were genuinely surprised.

If you think about it, jimmy did the same play he ran on chuck. Made Howard believe something + made him look crazy cause only Howard is beefing with jimmy + switched objects in Howards possession. Also Lalo got the idea to go to jimmy after seeing the roach in the sewers, he called jimmy „la cucaracha“ when Kim came to visit him.

how this entire thing turn into just ragging on howard lol. wellz is 100% right jimmy never came off as violent so him heading there after being humiliated to confront them is totally reasonable lol. how we blaming him for going over to the house of people hes been friends with for like 20 years and then on the off chance getting domed by a cartel guy? if he went any other night he would be 1000% fine.

Completely agree with Wellz. Majority of the discourse ought to be about how despicable Jimmy and Kim are instead of victim blaming Howard with the ease of hindsight. It is not dumb to be outmaneuvered by J+K, it was dumb for Kim to throw away her dream initiative meeting & dumb for Jimmy to blame Howard for not being able to process his own guilt and grief like an adult. Glad everyone is invested in the show though and at least Wellz and Evan could see the light~~

When Lalo saw the cockroach that’s when he decided to go see Saul. When he first met Kim in jail he said Jimmy would make it back (from the desert) because he’s like a cockroach (a survivor).

Nah out of everything, Rob just calls out any character is gonna die before a a scene plays out so he can get the "I told you so" at the end of episode. If you shot every second, youll hit a target at some point.

Rob and jerry buggin, bc howard never had solid evidence on jimmy doing any of this, and when he told other people the would question him, so naturally he has to get evidence, and going to a real PI firm got him cooked bc jimmy switched the numbers, howard does know jimmy, but you cant expect everything lmao, thats why i agree with wells saying yall only see it like that bc of hindsight, even chuck got driven to suicide and he doesnt even know jimmy raised the insurance. so its like, you cant call people stupid just bc they get hoed for not knowing something like that. Him getting a PI too is not "playing the same game" as jimmy, PIs are a very normal thing they just work discreetly and are sometimes frowned upon but its not illegal

Saying you wont call a PI is the biggest cap def bc you know the hindsight. PIs prices vary in range, so calling howard dumb after finding out the PI thing when no one couldve known jimmy did that is crazy, bc im pretty sure how they knew what PI to use too, they wouldve found a way to compromise a diff PI if he went to one

This is going over Rob and Jerry's heads. The police point is an irrelevant topic because the entire point of what Jimmy was doing was that you couldn't tie it back to him. He did the same thing to Chuck. As the audience you're supposed to understand that and when Lalo looks at the roach and thinks of Jimmy that this was the 1% chance Mike was talking about. He had so many bigger fish to fry, blaming Howard for anything here just means you're ignoring the narrative.

That’s also being a hindsight hero though. Your respected law partner passed so you offer his little brother a job. This action didn’t warrant anything that Jimmy and Kim did to him, and he’d have zero way of knowing doing this objectively good deed would be received so poorly. So no that’s not a great point it’s as ignorant as Rob and Jerry were being.

Let’s not act brand new. Howard knew what kind of a person Jimmy really was. Why in the world would I offer him a job especially knowing what kind of a person Jimmy is? Even if it was out of pity because his older brother passed.
