The Hightowers have puppeteered Westeros for 4,000 years through two tools - the Faith and the Citadel. The Faith shapes the realm's beliefs, while the Citadel gives them influence in every castle through maesters who control information (letters), advise Lords and tutor heirs. Both are based in Oldtown and serve Hightower interests. The Targaryens, with their dragons, came (to unify Westeros) and threatened that power, leading to a generations-long Hightower plot to remove them. The Dance of the Dragons was only one [middle] chapter in that larger conflict. Game of Thrones is the aftermath: the Targaryens and Hightowers areweakened, their old power is broken, and the remaining great houses squabble over the Iron Throne left behind.

if Rhayneara didn't kill the guard who locked her in her room while her son went and got himself killed, she wasn't gonna kill Rhaena after they explained what happened.

I say this as a fan not a hater and Ive been watching u guys for a while so i dont think it will change. but you guys have to just stop the tangents or pause the show. Cause yall are lost man. this was not a confusing episode and you guys were constantly unsure of what was happening. either save the tangents for the end or pause/rewind the show. This didnt feel like a reaction to house of the dragons, it felt like a reaction to what RTTV thinks is happening in house of the dragon...we are watching different shows at that point.

Aegons "resurrection" has just been Larys bailing him out at every turn. They did a good job of showing how pathetic and entitled he is this episode.

I can't stand how the show won't let Rhaenyra do anything that makes her look anything less than the good guy. She told the gold clothes to figure out who was slandering her and her children and riding a graffiti on the wall, the gold cloaks took it upon themselves to start beating people up dragging them out of their homes and treating them badly. So it's the men doing all the bad stuff and the women. Aren't.

Oh gosh half their arguments, Complains or confusions are just because of dialogue they decided to talk over and ignore. Like daemon LITERALLY said to rhaena, come with me and we will tell rhaenyra, explain to her it was a mistake, and rhaena refused.

Y'all there is no admiration here at all for Ormund from Daeron. That boy is scared as hell, he's in an abusive relationship with this man. He's so manipulative and so temperamental to the point where Daeron knows when the man is going to crash out. Alicent tried to do a good thing for his son , but ultimately, she just sent him to another beast. Hightowers and Targaryens have always been dangerous because they're too prideful and have the means to topple nations. Hightowers with their relationship to the faith, training of maesters, and their large army. Targaryens with their dragons.
