Imagine wild creatures roaming free in our world and killing people at random. I think people would be a lot more serious and reactive about such an issue. This is one place where i felt that hunter Hunter should have focused a little more...focus on the outside world and its rules and regulations.

Remember that Gon is just a child who has never experienced a loss of a close one. Hence, his 100% confidence in the fact that Kite is alright. Denial is always the first stage in grief. I didn't feel bad for the ant queen at all, but I did feel sad for Colt. And now he has a baby to protect! :'( The ant king''s words really hit me when he said "do you spare cows or pigs". He basically consider his species to be the most superior as we humans have done. Being a non-veg myself I felt bad.
